Completed Zenge. (4th game for the monthly theme)
Didn’t notice it was added to the list, noticed today and played immediately.
As expected, game is good!
Mechanics are similar to Hook’s but on the whole it seemed a bit harder to me.
Overall, illlutrations have a nice style, and there’s also a story behind all the puzzles but I haven’t fully understood it.
On the other hand, music really does its job!
As you can see, it has only one achievement, which gets unlocked for completing all the levels. Easy 100% ;)
Subtract about 1.5h of farming from the total gameplay.

There seems to be plenty of positive experiences with Zenge. :) I found it to be a lot easier than Hook. Ie. no restarts for me. Still I liked it: it wasn’t so easy as to be boring. Zenge was an instant wishlist for me when it released and finally bought it with that Groupees bundle. Totally got what I was expecting/hoping!
I think I restarted once, because I was too lazy to move back all the pieces =P (also there’s no reset button, I had to exit and choose the level again from the menu, which wasn’t even at the same page the level I was playing was).
Hook was “harder” ‘cause it was “easier” to miss some possible collision, while Zenge was harder on a mental level (more planning), at least for me.
Whenever I see just the 1 achievement, all I can think is a dev got pestered by a bunch of achi hunters &/or competionists… :D
In these kind of games there’s not much meaning for more than one achievement anyway.. and I like when they put it ‘cause it make it simpler to discern what played and what not :)
(For example, I totally forgot I had played some HOG without achievements before and restarted them. Only during the play some flash reminded me I had already been there) =P
Well I definitely prefer it when a game has Steam functions in general. Achis seem like a nice little bonus whilst playing a game and true they’re often pretty good for tracking progress.
Yeah I played it too today! Sweet little puzzle game! :-)
