Backlog Assassination : October 2019

I’m on time ! At least I think ! This month has been extraordinary tiring, especially as I always find myself being unlucky in October and this year didn’t make exception. I spent the last 10 days between a leak at the entrance of my home, my shower flooded and falling sick (unable to stay awake more than 2 hours is the weirdest thing).
Only a little progress on FFXIV but we have scheduled things for this month so it should be easier. Or so I want to believe, even though we’re not exactly miserable not playing, instead we’re roleplaying and watching movies. Nothing too shabby right ?

ANYWAY

I want to remind you (again, I know, I’m old now and I rambling on) that I wrote an article to explain How to Lock your Steam Account, no giveaway this time, maybe next post, who knows ,) !

This month I OBSESSED with Flood of Light and VA-11 HALL-A which are both amazing games which I recommend. Flood of Light is really difficult if you aim for the S ranking and VA-11 HALL-A is a really interesting story full of Easter Eggs that will push you to play more than once to know more about the characters coming to the bar for a drink.

Did that mean that I played less games this month ? Yup, I definitely did as I spent over 10 days just on those games.. If not 2 weeks. Do I care ? Nope, playing a game is meant to be fun, I had fun, so it’s fine by me. If you ever feel bad for not playing enough, then you need to remind yourself that what is important is to enjoy yourself, not to make it a second job :) !

I need to remind myself of the last part of your post. I often feel bad for not beating any planned games for events. It’s kinda hard for me to let myself loose since I’m a flawed perfectionist(or so I like to call myself), but I gotta loosen up sometimes and just not care. Maybe try skipping a month or two of the events might be nice. :3

We’re here to get motivation, if it becomes a burden, then it’s indeed time to breath in and out and to loosen up. It’s ok to just want to play one game or none at all for a week or two or four. We already have to deal with work and all those real life burdens, if gaming feels like paying your bills, you forgot the definition of the word.
PS : You could make a category on your Steam with those games you don’t quite like but still want to finish or perfect. Call it “stop stressing over it” or something to remind you to.. Stop stressing over it ,) !
