May 2020 report
Hello everyone! I have played a lot of games during this month, partially thanks to Spring cleaning event, which I every time enjoy very much! :)
You can take look inside my cleaned house in the screenshot below. ;)
I am not sure if I will be playing as much games again, I feel somewhat exhausted… we will see. All in all, seems like June will be a month full of milestones.
Please excuse me if you find any mistakes, after I post my report I usually find many of them, but I really read the post few times before I send it out. X) Feel free to point them out to me. ;)
Enough of small talks and now to the actual assassinations! Good luck in a new month and have a nice time everyone!
I love this game! I have played it a long time ago and it's still very cute and enjoyable even after all the years.
Story of little robot Josef is told without words, just with bubbles with simple pictures or animations, but it's still filled with so many emotions! You will understand the story perfectly from it no worries. Hand-drawn graphic is very cute and suits the story nicely, one have to admire all the little details you can see on the screen. Soundtrack is also very good and catchy.
Wicked and devious robots from the Black Cap Brotherhood are terrorizing the city and its citizens. They have also kidnapped your girlfriend Berta and she is now their maid! To save her you have to find your way back into the city and help every unfortunate robot that crossed its way with the Brotherhood infamous members. And there are quite a lot of them!
Machinarium is filled with logical puzzles and mini games, some of them are easy some of them requires a little bit of out of the box thinking, but none should give you serious trouble. Everything you do have some meaning and all you need is usually very close to you.
This is logical puzzle game with very interesting concept. You are moving on predefined grid, as are you enemies or traps. You have to choose the right path and timing to solve the quest. Game is splitted into different worlds, each offer new kind of traps, enemies and obstacles, each level has also increasing difficulty. Some were truly very hard and I have spent a lot of time upon solving them successfully. Your progress is always saved upon entering the room, no penalty for failing - practice makes perfect and best approach is to simply try your idea in motion.
I have enjoyed the variety of all things in the game, although as I said, it proved to be challenging to combine all of the aspects to work properly. There are also hidden artifacts and vases you can collect to open different outfits, which was nice! If you have missed come, you can go back from the selection menu, you can also see in which level exactly you are missing it, so no need to replay whole world. ;)
I love the look of the game! The graphic is much appealing to me. And the concept is so clever and funny, that I have to grab Hitman Go soon! :) If you like logical puzzle game with mind twists I can only recommend!
Another ghost needs our help to release him from evil that is following him in the afterlife. This time we will learn more about the life of Mark Twain and his family.
Standard hidden object game with a nice graphic, good scary moments, decent story full of conspiracy theories and rather good puzzles (yay for ships / nonograms). They are still using those advanced description in the HOG scenes, but they are not so clouded anymore. Achievements can be a little bit grindy if you hunt for every clover and raven. The story isn’t that confusing as Salem witch trials, but still can be a little bit overwhelming when there is a lot of characters.
And again another ghost needs your help. This time we will learn the truth about the death of famous illusionist Houdini! But it’s not Houdini who asks for our help, his wife can’t meet him in the afterlife and we have to reconnect those two lovebirds.
I think I enjoyed this one the most from the whole series. Story wasn’t confusing and I have oriented in it rather nicely. The magician setting was pretty and I have enjoyed the puzzles. Confusing description in HOG scenes still remains though, seems like their trademark. XD
This is an old point and click adventure which is very specific with its design and dialogs (monologues), also all of the characters are dubbed by only one actor (perfect Jiří Lábus). Soundtrack is very good. Sadly, the game is showing its age in many aspects. My first problem was getting right screen resolution to be able to play at all, luckily AltTab have corrected it. Another problem was with an opening intro, graphic freezed so you had only sound to enjoy. Strange thing was that after few restarts and AltTabs it worked nicely, at least for one time. :)
Story is following monk Severin on a run from monastery… and that’s probably all I am sure about. XD I think it’s all about meaning of life, time, death, destiny… but don’t count on me on this one. Truth is, I was pretty confused at the end, I am not certain, but the developers have smoked some good stuff for sure. Also the game is rather full of nonsensical solutions and that was driving me mad, I had rage quitted few times.
After saving our father and secret order of guardians, we have to help them again. Ancient artifacts are being awakened and threatens safety of the world, we have to destroy them. To do that, we need to travel in time and find their creator who can destroy them.
Very nice visuals and good puzzles, some of them are very innovative, but the story continues in the silliness, also it’s a little bit copying prequel… siblings… fire and ice... X) Oh but you have cute little helper, gryphon baby! :)
We are stranded in an ancient kingdom after successfully destroying powerful artifacts. Now we have to find way back to our future, but we must not forget our ultimate enemy Dragon clan that wants us gone.
So yet again, nice graphic and enjoyable puzzles. There’s a lot of characters this time and slightly different plot from previous games. This time your helper is young Anubis with some godly powers! ;)
So it’s done. We have finally completed it! :D
This is such a great funny game! We have enjoyed so much playing it in co-op! We even remember some of the recipes, especially for the salad - Manhattan! Can’t imagine playing it alone, my brain would have just blown off. X) I hope that even the second one can be played in co-op...
The visuals are simplistic but strangely appealing, also I love how the customers have the same expression all the time, they are so thrilled on the party. XD Special events were fun to do, could have been more of them. ;) We have laughed so much, great game.
Serving 15.000 customers was real pain in the back though!
This game is perfect!!! I love it! We are having SO much fun! :D
After we complete it this month I will write more. ;)
I will probably add some characters from Hobbit, but I will leave it after I post my complete review. ;)

Congrats! Yep CSD2 has co op too, it’s split screen and each person can cook stuff at the same time.
Thanks! Hmm, so we can’t play like in the first game? Like, one was getting the orders and other was preparing the food? o.O
I’ll check in the options, but no I don’t believe so. You can split up what you guys wanna do yourself (one person only takes salads or does chores etc), just have more freedom with the splitscreen. Here is how it looks, with 2 people able to pick an order/chore at the same time.
Edit: Yeah it seems like you’re stuck with split, I could only change controls setup but not the ‘type’ of co op. Checked the forums and dev posted this. Sorry about that, if it’s not something you’re interested in. :(
Thank you for checking it so thoroughly for me! :3
Yeah, shame it’s not the same way as before… but it’s okay, we will just have to learn it. I think we will find a way to have fun. ;)
No worries, hope you still enjoy it. :)
