Backlog Assassination Report #2
I’m glad to say I’ve made some progress! =)
Beaten Game
I spent most of the time playing XCOM2 which I really enjoyed. I’ve played the first XCOM so it’s good to know how the story progresses. Combat was pretty neat and I had to replay some of the stages early on. Though towards the end my soldiers are pretty powerful.
Currently Playing
Won GAs that I’ve started
I've also started playing the GAs that I won. Dungeons 2 started out great with the horde, but now I have to get used to the demons. The horde is so much more efficient though :( They work so much faster! I'm not sure whether I'll complete the demons campaign.
Just started God Factory Wingmen and taking some time to get used to the controls.
Also just started The Astonishing Game - a good combination of chess and Magic The Gathering. I'm having trouble remembering what each of the pieces do. A sign of old age perhaps...
Continuing with these other games
For such a simple game, it's taking a long time to beat Freecell Quest. That said it does get repetitive after a while. I shall persevere!
American truck simulator is a game that I'll probably continue for a while. I did clock 54 hours on Euro Truck Simulator 2. :)
Rocksmith is pretty neat! I've wanted this game for a while so to actually get it is great. I'm really quite bad at hand-eye coordination though...
Paused
Ember isn't bad. It's just that it's so repetitive. And I have to walk back and forth and back and forth to complete quests. It just feels tedious after the other RPGs I've played. Pausing for a while and will come back to this again.
Not sure yet whether I'll make any progress in April. I have my portfolio defense in April so most of my time will be preparing for it. But then, I would need some down time too right? :)
Interesting what you say about Ember. It looks so awesome, but repetitive quests are…not awesome.
Yah… I was so excited about it. I’ll leave it for a bit and maybe the excitement will come back…
Dungeons 2 was my first “real” Steam game purchase shortly after it came out. I really enjoyed it (though I didn’t have a backlog back then). The demons definitely require a different process but I found myself preferring them for longer games. I can’t remember the unit name but the upgraded range attacker is absolutely amazing at clearing out enemies from a long distance.
Looks like I’ll have to continue on with the demons campaign :)
Have you played Dungeon Keeper back in the day? If you did, how does Dungeons 2 fare to that?
I’m pretty excited to play that game one day alongside War for the Overworld (but not playing them yet as I’m scared of their ridiculously hard achievements) :)
The Dungeons 2 achievements aren’t too bad … you can knock out all but maybe 3 in a single campaign play-through (10-15 hours maybe)
Oh my bad, majority of them look pretty doable with the exception of 5-6 or so. I must have mistaken it with War for the Overworld.
Nope, never played dungeon keeper before, though I have it on GOG. Just read that it’s the original game. Will have to go try it out :)
