Backlog Assassination Report #6
Well, I haven't made any progress in reducing my backlog because I haven't been gaming for about 2.5 months. My backlog has increased a little due to some games from humble monthly subscription. Many things happening in real life - work (not going too well so looking for a new job...), unwell a few times... and have been reading, watching shows and anime. Which hasn't left me with time for gaming. I hope to get back into gaming this month!
Backlog Assassination Report #5
I'm proud that I managed to control myself and didn't buy too many games in June! I like to think I'm controlling my impulse bundles buying. I bought only Riven during the recent steam sale, some loots boxes from GMG where the majority became GAs. Did win some games on SG which is pretty awesome! Downloaded them all and will be playing them this month. Also got Armello and Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter which are both on my wishlist. All in all a pretty good June. :) ## Beaten Games ##
4 beaten games for June!
Democracy 3 - Nothing too exciting. Tried a few times and didn't want to continue so stopped.
Bloodgate - I actually really like this game. It's a mix of puzzle + RPG. I had great fun matching gems, and getting new equipments. But it's an early access game and has been abandoned by it developers. So much potential! :(
Alien Shooter TD - I had great fun playing this TD =D The combination of soldiers is great!
Bridge Constructor Medieval - Finally finished this! Pretty neat and surprisingly engaging.
## Currently Playing ##American Truck Simulator - Still ongoing...
Rocksmith 2014 - Still ongoing...
Tales of Symphonia - Still ongoing...
Bayonetta - Loving this game so far! Enging story and awesome graphics and music. Aiming to beat this game this month!
Mafia II - Having great fun with the game. Pretty similar to GTA V though.
Gems of War - I got sucked into this because (a) it's similiar to puzzle quest which I really liked and (b) Got the Demon Hunter bundle from humble bundle. 36 hours later I'm in a guild, logging on daily to get bonus, and am lvl 60. I think this is a game that I'll be playing for a while!
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (GOG) - Still ongoing
FIFA 17 (Origin) - 210 hours and counting...

Beaten Games
3 beaten games for May!
Alphadia Genesis - I really enjoyed the story, though the battle can get repetitive and annoying. I find myself trying to skip as many as I can while trying to get to where I need to be to battle the monsters. As with JRPGs, there's the usual true ending which I didn't get! Thank goodness for YouTube where I can watch it. I wouldn't want to repeat all the battles just to get that true ending.
Imperium Romanus - I've had a lot of fun playing this city building game. Nothing new in terms of city building, but I had great fun leveling up the buildings. Loved the tidbits on real Roman history!
FreeCell Quest - Decided to mark this as beaten. The quests are similar and I'm at the stage where I can win quite easily. It's a fun game though so if you haven't play this, do try it!
Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten (on GOG) - A great TD! Entertaining story with humour and you get to upgrade your equipment and skills of your defenses. I beat the game and will probably take on the challenge of the + games.
Currently Playing
American Truck Simulator - One of the disadvantages of playing so many games is having to divide the available time! I find myself playing this game when I need to relax. Though at times I get so relaxed that I feel sleepy irl.
Rocksmith 2014 - Starting my journey to be a guitar player =D Let's see how this goes.
F1 2015 - Though exciting, I find myself getting distracted by other games...
Tales of Symphonia - Loving the story so far! I want to finish this so I can get into the sequels!
Bridge Constructor Medieval - A surprisingly engaging game. I though it would be easy but I'm wrong! Got sucked into making the bridges work and trying to get all the bonuses. A little more and I'll beat this game!
Alien TD Shooter - A game that I won on SteamGifts and it is as fun as I thought it would be! You get to decide the different kinds of shooters you want and also what upgrades you want for the weapons. Currently stuck on one of the stages while trying to get better weapons...
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (GOG) - So far 27 hours into the game and wow, it's been an experience! I've always been a fan of the first and second games and this third one has got me hooked! I find myself wanting to complete the main story, but also getting distracted by the many side quests. I wonder how many more hours I'll invest into this...
FIFA 17 (Origin) - An ongoing saga of soccer... I had started this a while back but stopped. And then got back into it again this month. So far, 160 hours played o.O
Backlog Assassination Report #3
Even though I was busy preparing for my oral defense, I did find time to game. Relaxation time is still needed right! :) The good news is I passed! After 5 years of online studies, I finally completed it. It was a long journey, but a worthwhile one. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though it took away gaming time.
Now that I’ve passed, I have more time to game and hopefully I’ll make a dent to my backlog in May! I’ll beat Alphadia Genesis and start on either a Final Fantasy game or Tales of Symphonia. I can continue with the Witcher 3 on GOG, which I stopped while I was concentrating on my studies. More time to play, more games to beat! =)
Beaten Game
3 beaten games for April!
I continued Dungeons 2 and got through the demons phase. They are really quite powerful once they are built up! I really enjoyed this game and love the snarky narrator. Also like building lots of traps so my enemies are killed even before they reach anywhere near my base.
The Astonishing Game was fun once I remembered the special moves of the pieces. Marking it as beaten as this is one of those games that you can play forever.
About 2 weeks ago I suddenly thought of an old game that I played ages ago - Lords of the Realm II. I asked around for some recommendations on similar games and was introduced to Knights of Honor. Let's just say don't start it if you don't the time! The 26 hours playtime was for playing 1 game (and some others that I discontinued). I enjoyed it, but it was intense! Marking it as beaten as it's another one of those games that can be played forever.

A little more progress on Freecell Quest. I still have about half of the map to conquer before beating the game! It's getting very repetitive though...
American truck Simulator is a great game to play when you want to relax. I played this game when I needed to take a break from studying.
F1 2015 is quite exciting. It's great that there are options to customise your car. Having fun driving around the race track!
Imperium Romanus is my one of my current focus atm. I was looking for a city builder game and found it in my library. And I am quite impressed by it. I'm having fun building, and learning some facts about Rome.
My other focus is Alphadia Genesis. I haven't played a JRPG in a while and wanted to play one that isn't too complicated. I've really enjoyed it so far. Liking the story and the pace of it. I want to beat this game this month!
Backlog Assassination Report #2
I’m glad to say I’ve made some progress! =)
Beaten Game
I spent most of the time playing XCOM2 which I really enjoyed. I’ve played the first XCOM so it’s good to know how the story progresses. Combat was pretty neat and I had to replay some of the stages early on. Though towards the end my soldiers are pretty powerful.

Won GAs that I’ve started
I've also started playing the GAs that I won. Dungeons 2 started out great with the horde, but now I have to get used to the demons. The horde is so much more efficient though :( They work so much faster! I'm not sure whether I'll complete the demons campaign.
Just started God Factory Wingmen and taking some time to get used to the controls.
Also just started The Astonishing Game - a good combination of chess and Magic The Gathering. I'm having trouble remembering what each of the pieces do. A sign of old age perhaps...
Continuing with these other games
For such a simple game, it's taking a long time to beat Freecell Quest. That said it does get repetitive after a while. I shall persevere!
American truck simulator is a game that I'll probably continue for a while. I did clock 54 hours on Euro Truck Simulator 2. :)
Rocksmith is pretty neat! I've wanted this game for a while so to actually get it is great. I'm really quite bad at hand-eye coordination though...
Paused
Ember isn't bad. It's just that it's so repetitive. And I have to walk back and forth and back and forth to complete quests. It just feels tedious after the other RPGs I've played. Pausing for a while and will come back to this again.
Not sure yet whether I'll make any progress in April. I have my portfolio defense in April so most of my time will be preparing for it. But then, I would need some down time too right? :)

Thanks for the invite to the site! My goal is to beat at least 1 game per month and slowly cut down the backlog. With work and studies atm, it’s tough to curve out more time for gaming. Hopefully there will be more time in May and I can game more.
As I’m new to the site, I spent some time diligently following the guide to sort out my library and creating lists. Thank you so much for the very helpful guide! The statistics is interesting - 13% of my library is unfinished and 57% has never been played. So lots of backlog.
These are the games I’m playing now or will start soon. I’m hoping to get 100% achievement (or close to it) for Freecell Quest! Just installed XCOM 2 and am really looking forward to it as I enjoyed the first XCOM. Continuing with Ember which I started a few days ago. Wish me luck!
