Main Quest #65 - 27 August 2019
Although this game could be played endlessly, I decided to mark it as beaten as I’ve already finished the third act with one character. There are three characters available to play (and a free fourth will be entering beta in a few days). Once you finish the third act of each character, there’s an additional fourth act that you can unlock when you do certain things with each character. Independent of how much I enjoyed Slay the Spire, I do not think I have the time nor patience to do that, since I played with the character I was most comfortable with (Silent), I imagine it would take me much more time to finish the other two characters three acts, time which I prefer to spend playing other games.
This week I’ve started my last PoP game (South Park: Stick of the Truth) and also a few other games on uplay. Starting 3 September, there will be a free trial of uplay+, which I intend to use to play some games I’ve been meaning to play but haven’t reached a price I feel comfortable paying, so September will probably be stuffed with side quests instead of main quests. I know progress is progress, no matter the platform, but sometimes I feel like I’m wasting time playing a game if it’s not part of the steam backlog.
Already on your last PoP game. Damn what are you going to to for the next 2 month?
And I totally get you concerning playing games on other platforms. It kinda feels like “wasting time” you could spend on finishing your steam backlog, simply because it’s the biggest one.
Ahah my classes start in less than two weeks so I decided to go ahead and play the maximum number of PoP games I could in August.
Exactly my thoughts, but I also feel differently about Uplay vs the other platforms since it’s the one with the most games I want to play (excluding steam). I just feel like it’s wasting time because I can’t see it’s progress on blaeo ahah
Okay i can understand that :)
When I was still in school/uni I was exactly the same. Now with work i simply scrape every free minute i can get to play some games, when I’m not working my second job so that I can earn some extra money to spend on games.
It’s the last year of my masters degree so it will be filled with stuff to do but hopefully all will be for the better. And then in a year I start working and will probably be the same as you xD
Good luck on your masters degree. I’ve got the equivalent degree to a masters (simply called Diplom) because I started to study before we also implemented the bachelor/master degrees here in Germany. A lot of hard work :D
Thank you!
