Playing awesome games and Merry Christmas!
Hello Backloggers! Here is my potato!
Life Progression
So I thought to just add some good news here, I got accepted to do a Masters degree in Engineering next year so my gaming might be effected. I will try my best to keep crunching the games :D
Ok onto the games now…
Game Progression
I have completed two games. Both of them are not on steam :/
I finished Spider-Man on PS4, it was incredible. I might get the DLC I am not sure. Completed that 100%, getting my first ever Platinum trophy :D
I then finished Subnautica today. I got if for free on the Epic Store. WOW I highly recommend it. It is incredible, I checked the achievements, and it seems quite easy to 100% but that doesn’t matter with the Epic Store :D It is still free until 28/12/2018
I couldn’t find the generate button on blaeo bar generators
Conclusion
The computer backlog grew one game but also reduced one game. The PS4 backlog grew with God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and Last of Us Remastered. Now that I have finished Subnautica I am keen to play Last of Us, though I have installed Metro 2033 Redux which I might start. I have a lot of awesome games to jam now :D I need to stop buying hahahaha

Congrats on the PS4. I still don’t know if the balance of exclusives is worth the initial outlay of the system for me. But if RDR2 doesn’t come to PC, I may just cave, because Spiderman does look great.
Thanks bud. Well to be honest the main one that won me over is Ghost of Tsushima, Trailer if looks awesome but is only coming out next year, using it for a media center as well. It just fits my life quite perfectly right now :D
I think the wait for RDR 2 will be like 10 months. I think it will definitely be on PC because of how well GTA 5 did. We will have to see I guess :D
Spider man IS great :D Its quite reminiscent of Spiderman 2 on PS 2 I played when I was a kid.
Yeah I have a formula in my head that determines if a console has reached viability to invest in. I get all my ‘hardcore’ kicks on PC, so the Xbox and PS have to offer a lot of exclusives before they become viable. Nintendo just about always gets a pass, because I’m a sucker for a lot of their franchises and I have kids, so it’s an easy sell for the wife.
I was a bit older when I played Spiderman 2, but it was definitely my first taste of how great an open world playground could be. I know GTA did it first, but those stories weren’t as interesting to me as actually being spiderman.
So it is never like one or two games your REALLY want to play? You must have an extensive list because there is a bonkers amount of exclusives on PS4. I never like Nintendo, I don’t think I ever will. Nothing about that system or it’s exclusives appeal to me. Never grew up on it, and mobile gaming is a non entity to me.
I get that exactly. Like I can’t stand GTA but love Red Dead. Its pretty much the same formula, the content of GTA is just super unappealing to me. Have you tried the Arkam games? You might like those.
I mean look PC will always be my first love, ever since I played police quest and prince of persia back in the day. Yes, there are so many amazing games on the consoles, but there’s also a lot of intersection between PC and the xbox and playstation, in terms of the kinds of games they offer. So the experience offered by the exclusives might be great, but it’s similar to other open worldy, action adventure type games for the most part, so it’s easier to say no, especially when you factor in the initial outlay of each game. And the graphics on PC are just that much better. I’m drowning in quality games on the PC, so only the exceptional get my attention away to the other consoles.
However there is literally no experience on the PC to match a top tier nintendo game. It’s hard to explain if you’ve never got really into those games, but there’s a good reason why their exclusives dominate the rankings aggregators.
And yeah I’ve beaten all the Arkham games. Love them and wish they would just make another game like that already.

I am drowning in quality games at the moment as well, but now across two platforms XD, need to put a dent in the backlog before getting more.
I have them, I just haven’t gotten around to playing them. Keep me updated with the battle of the consoles :P

Don’t worry, Epic said they are going to implement achievements for their store sometime in 2019 ;P

Congrats on starting your Md and the platinum trophy from Spiderman. It is one of the games that make me wanna buy a PS4. Maybe some day in the future.

I got my PS4 on black Friday. I enjoy the console, the exclusives are worth it for me.
If you do ever get one, you wont regret it. It doubles as a lekker media center as well to work with my Plex server and netflix :)
