Third week of February

I haven’t completed or beaten any games this week. I spent it mostly by reading books and getting some small progress on these 2 games:

  • Pixel Puzzles Ultimate

    553 hours playtime

    685 of 1094 achievements

  • Wanderland

    186 hours playtime

    69 of 81 achievements

Since I still have over 100 completed games I never wrote about from before I started using BLAEO I will use this post to get a batch of those done instead.

4 Elements - Completed in October 2013. I don’t remember much of it, but what I remember of it was that I enjoyed it except a couple of frustrating levels.

Scribblenauts Unlimited - Completed in October 2013. Fun puzzle game where you solve the problems by writing in an item that then appears and helps you. There are plenty of different items you choose from and there is more than one solution for each puzzle.

Sleeping Dogs™ - Completed in November 2013. One of my favorite games ever <3 I recently got my hands on the Definitive Edition so I have a good excuse to replay it :3 The only thing in this game that I wasn’t too big of a fan of is the shooting, but there is not too much of it.

The Stanley Parable - Completed in November 2013. If you own this game and you haven’t played it: go install it. It is one of those games you can really explain, you just have to experience it. But I can say that I had lots of fun sitting in a closet for 15 minutes doing nothing … no sarcasm, but I am very easily amused :D

Montague's Mount - Completed in April 2014. Another game I don’t remember too much about. A pretty meh walking simulator.

Puzzler World 2 - Completed in May 2014. Pretty much the same as Puzzler World here.

Thomas Was Alone - Completed in June 2014. Yet another thing I don’t have all that much memory of. Can you blame me, I have played all these games from 3 and half to 4 and half years ago :/ From what I remember is an OK platformer with a story.

10,000,000 - Completed in July 2014. Match 3 game where you have to escape a dungeon. It is best played on a touch screen device, but I played it with my mouse and I still had very much fun with it.

Magical Diary - Completed in August 2014. I watched an old podcast a few days ago where they completely shit on this game, but I had an enjoyable enough time with it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

The 39 Steps - Completed in August 2014. I have 0 memory of this game except that a part of it is in a cottage in the middle of nowhere and I didn’t really like it? I can’t say much more.

reoftgiuehoireughoiurehgiouerhgiu I had to rewrite this 2x because it accidentally refreshed the page. Why doesn’t the site automatically save what you write? :(

uguleley

The Stanley Parable made me go through things that I never would’ve thought doing in a video game. That game is the type of ‘random’ I find refreshing :)

Also regarding your reoftgiuehoireughoiurehgiouerhgiu issue, after doing that same mistake I’ve used Wordpad for a rough sketch before copy-pasting here. It’s very demotivating to lose writing progress, that’s why being able to save is a must-have for me. I don’t really know how easy or difficult it would be to create auto-save feature in the website.

MouseWithBeer

I wish they would make another similar one to it, I would love to play it.

I actually had the top part (with the game tiles or whatever they are called) copy pasted into a notepad because I have made this mistake before as well, so luckily I only had to rewrite the text bellow, still annoying tho :( As far as I know the site was made and its maintained by a single person so I am not expecting it to ever be an important enough thing to be added (I am already extremely happy that this site even exists, makes my life so much easier) but I sure do wish it was :)

malabagaa

Isn’t The Beginner’s Guide somewhat similar? Or is it just from the same creator?

MouseWithBeer

I played The Beginners guide a few months ago and made a post about it here were I actually mentioned the connection to The Stanley Parable :D I very much enjoyed it as well but it is nothing like it, just made by the same guy. I shall take a look at the other game once I get back home to my Windows PC, thanks! :)

malabagaa

Oh, there’ also Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist, had forgot about it but it’s mentioned in the post right below your =P

uguleley

I think written text is particularly frustrating to lose, and when that happens I know I need a break. ^^ I can’t get back to any flow of writing because my mind just tries to reproduce what I had just written.

That free game malabagaa recommended below captures a glimpse of the type of humor you see in Stanley, but the playthrough is so very short…

iskibiribiri

How could you play Wanderland for 186 hours? I gave up after playing it for 19h and I still think I wasted too much time on it.

MouseWithBeer

A lot of those are just idle hours of me forgetting to turn it of or just leaving it open waiting for some countdown to finish and yea it is a grindy piece of shit, but I am so far into it I am determined to finish it :/

Trilled Meow

Nice idea to write a little about games you played before starting this. I liked Magical Diary, too.

MouseWithBeer

I been doing it since the new year already hoping to preserve at least a little bit of the fading memory I got of the games. Glad I am not the only one :)
