December’s Stats
aka. A mediocre end to a mediocre year
Well, here we are. Happy New Year fellow assassins! We made it through 2021, which honestly was an achievement on itself. This year was even more cursed tha 2020 and I’m glad it’s over. Let’s just hope that the next one is a bit nicer with us all.
Backlog wise I didn’t make too much progress in December as I’ve scattered myself, but I managed to play It Takes Two and it was really a cool game. I didn’t like the backstory too much but loved the co-op experience and think it deserves all the awards its getting. A nice surprise to finish the year with.
The damage to the backlog has been done by the holiday season as it always happens. Did you pick up anything good during the final sales of the year? I’m not too sure what the year’s summary will look like but it’ll be coming in a few days. Until then, I wish you the best for 2022, lots of good games to play, but mostly stay all healthy. I only picked up some stupid dlc for MHS2 on steam, but I did pick up Spiritfarer, Inscryption and The Legend of Tianding on EGS, so I guess there’s that :think:

TLoT actually seemed super satisfying to play (there’s a demo available) hence why I ended up buying it despite not being a fan of beat ‘em ups in general. Actually now that I think about it, all 3 of these are purchases that happened because I enjoyed their demos at some point or another. It also helps that I’ve paid roughly 12€ for all 3 of them combined :3<

Man, I remember playing the original Animal Crossing on Gamecube. I’d love to play the new one but I don’t think it’s really worth getting a switch just for that.
Probably not… But there is so many other good exclusives + a bunch of indies that you can now play in bed (and that is priceless). smirks to lure you to the dark side
Lol. Problem is I’m not particularly interested in Mario, Zelda, or Metroid franchises. I’d be tempted by Pokemon which I also loved as a kid, but I think the grinding would bore me too much these days. What other exclusives would you recommend?
I really like the Mario + Rabbids game (i know it’s mario and you said you don’t care bout mario but it’s a tactics game rather than a plateformer), all the Picross series, Golf story and The World Ends with You. But most of my time is going to the “indies i could play elsewhere but i’m too comfy in bed” tbh.
Ah that’s fair. I’m really tempted to get the steam deck partly for that reason.
Same, but I couldn’t really justify to myself getting a steamdeck at those prices when I have a switch on hand.

Haven’t played them yet. Well, I got a refund for Milo and the Magpies, and only played the Spiritfarer demo. I liked the latter so I guess that counts as good. :p
I almost bought Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, but I was able to stop myself. Just gonna wait for the next sale. I’ll probably be done with Horizon Zero Dawn (gift) by then.
If you liked the demo, you should like the full Spiritfarer game, the demo was pretty accurate to the whole experience. Congrats on HZD, I still have to even start it sweats As for Car Mechanic Simulator… you still have a few days smirks (Let’s face it, with your small backlog you deserve it)

And yeah, I’ll probably get something before the sale ends, but I’ll skip Car Mechanic Simulator for now. I want at least 50% off for something that I don’t think I can play right away.

Bought Whispers of a Machine and The Last Door bundle. I was also considering Disco Elysium because everyone’s saying it’s good, but skipped it after watching some vids. For some reason, I can’t stand the voice over.

Oh, I was already addicted, i had managed to take off of my addiction by uninstalling it from my pc… and then last month I made a mistake and got it again on the switch… Portable BoI is tricky to not fall back into.
Ah you should come back and get 100% on PC! And on all 3 save slots! :D And of course do the same on Switch.
I have been considering very hard to get myself Repentance before the sales end. I’m trying to resist but it’s getting complicated.
Do it, it’s an amazing DLC :D There’s so much new content and variants of old content.
