Another few games beaten. Not too many but I still feel like I played a lot this month. Rise of the Tomb Raider took a while since I wanted to complete it to 100% (game progress, not achievements). The game was fun even tho it is really easy and the story is just a cliché, I just can’t say no to Lara :P
I know I’m pretty late with playing Resident Evil’s but the first time I tried them, I didn’t like them at all. The tank controls felt awful, and they’re full of QTEs, but I decided to give them another shot and actually kinda liked RE4 and Revelations now. They had atmosphere, especially Revelations with it’s claustrophobic setting on a ship. RE5 I still consider to be crap and 6 I didn’t like either, mostly because they re-used locations and bosses in different campaigns and the forced co-op elements.
Kane and Lynch 2…… well, at least it was short.
January report
Well, I’d like to think it was a productive month for me. Finished 10 games, most of which were SG wins, so that’s quite nice.
January 2017 10 games
Out of those games, I enjoyed Hitman Absolution and Metal Gear Rising the most. They were challenging but still a lot of fun. Victor Vran was pretty good too but then it got repetitive, as games from this genre usually do, I guess.
Hard Reset was a weird one with strange difficulty spikes, boss battles were easier than some standard encounters where you get swarmed by dozens of robots at once. Can be frustrating.
Oh and if you wanna hear the AI yell “Let’s see what you got!” followed by “HE GOT AWAY!” over and over and over and over, play Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark!
Salt & Sanctuary beaten
Got this game during Holiday sale and was hooked right from the start, since I am a big Dark Souls fan and this is literally 2D Dark Souls. They just replaced souls with salt and bonfires with sanctuaries. Challenging but rewarding game. One of my favorites ones from 2016. Definitely give it a try if you are into either DS or metroidvania style of games.
Been a while since my last post. Got a bit tired of gaming for a while, but now I’m on a vacation with lots of time to play games :P
So recently I have finished these 3 games, and enjoyed all of them.
DOOM did get a bit repetitive but I guess that’s what you can expect from a run and gun shooter like DOOM. At least it looks and plays great, and it’s not overly long.
Styx was pretty good, probably not the best stealth game out there but it was enjoyable to me and the story is quite interesting too. Combat is awful and you die in 1 or 2 hits, so you don’t really have a choice but to go stealth all the way, which is fine by me! One thing I didn’t like much was that they make you go through earlier levels again later, but in reverse.
And Batman, well, it’s a typical Telltale game. Don’t think it was as good as Tales from Borderlands, which had action and humor, this one has just action. If you’re a fan of Batman then it is definitely worth playing.
Hi there, I have just beaten/completed over 150 games!
…because I just signed up and started categorizing them :D
What do you guys do with games you’ve already completed outside of Steam, though? Mark them as done or not?
Cheers!
