79% game completion according to uplay: 121 quests done, 41/58 sync points, achieved the maximum level.
Pretty great game! I’ve only played AC 1, 2 and Brotherhood (as I’m yet to buy Revelations and a few others) but since I got this one through Humble Monthly and it was a prequel, I just had to jump right in and it basically consumed my free time since the beginning of the month. The gameplay was very satisfying and I deeply enjoyed all the quests I completed. Definitely recommended.
I am really interested in Origins so I am happy to see someone positive about it for a change. ;)

Did you get some dlc’s for it? Or you played just the game you got from Monthly? o.o
Glad to help! If you focus only on the main quest and do side quests to reach the minimum level to continue you can probably finish it in 25/30 hours. However, I was enjoying the game too much to rush.
I only played the base game I got from Monthly. I’m aware there are a few story dlc’s but I sincerely don’t know anything about them.
So rumors about throttled experience gain to encourage microtransactions were exaggerated? I kinda get the feeling most people just do the “critical path” missions and ignore everything else only to complain they’re under-leveled and missing content.
I don’t really follow gaming news so I don’t know what do you mean with “throttled experience (…)”. Well, yeah, if you only do the main quests you’re definitely gonna be under-leveled. I did practically every quest I could find and even in the end I had 3 or 4 regions I hadn’t explored (where the levels where 35+, which is the last main quest minimum level requisite), so if I wanted I could’ve got more 10/15 hours of content with just the base game. There’s also the “Discovery Tour” and then NG+, which I didn’t touch.
Yeah, I was referring to some people thinking experience gain was purposefully too slow so you’d be forced to buy ability points with Helix credits. Interesting. Is this the first Assassin’s Creed game with such dedicated “end game” content?
I actually have no idea since I only played the first 3 games and usually just ignored any side content since it was mainly collectible stuff.
