First Week as an Assassin
As initial motivation I jumped right into the monthly theme since many of the game on the list were already in my library. For the most part, it was finishing or completing games I had started but left unfinished for a long time.
Unium
KAMI
Mondrian - Abstraction in beauty
Quell
Quell Reflect
Morphopolis (That effing beetle lock puzzle!)
A few other games I started for the first time.
Collisions - Finished
Borealis
Windosill - Completed
Hocus - Completed (for now, unless dev does actually adds new levels)
Two Digits
And another few games I had started long ago, I am now once again working on finishing.
RUSH
LYNE
Lexica
But overall the week was mostly neutral in success. Coming back after my absence, one of the first things I did was activate the keys of many of the games I had bought in bundles way back in January. Somewhere in the neighborhood of two dozen keys. And that’s just the ones I wasn’t one the fence about. I still have keys to some games that I think I might want to play but don’t know if I really should do it or not. And…. in the process of retrieving keys, I became irresistibly drawn to Groupees 8floor bundle. Not sure if I’ll add the TD games but I know I’ll add everything else.
A lot going on and changing next week but I’ll keep doing my best to reduce the number of unplayed games and increase the number of finished games.
See you in next week’s update my fellow assassins!
Oh! I missed your first post on the site … great to have you back :)
Two dozen is NOTHING. Add 48 keys at once from the past month and come back to me then. ;) So you’re all good!
I don’t know why so many people complain about that beetle puzzle in Morphopolis. I didn’t have any trouble with it, but the rest of the game was just so… meh. Tedious stuff. Pretty, though.
Awesome progress, though! That’s a lot of great games. I stalked your Steam page and found we have plenty of the same games. So looking forwards to your updates! :)
I think you’re right, it’s really not that bad. The first time around I played through the whole game in one sitting and it was going on 10 o’clock when I first encountered the beetle lock puzzle so that was probably why it got me so frustrated. I was just mentally exhausted due to the slow pace of the game and becoming tired. When I went back to complete it this week I figured it out pretty quickly by aligning the bodies and then just switching heads around until they lined up. I guess I just still had some left over resentment for it, lol.
lol, very understandable! :D I had the same feels towards Tengami: I started playing ~2am before going to bed it since it was supposed to be a quick completion. Got stuck running around, pulling tabs and not having a clue what was going on. ARGH! Then came back months later and finished in like 20 minutes. xD
Welcome to the group :)
Fantastic progress for your first week!
Any intentions to complete Collisions? ^_^
I noticed it to become easier the more I played.
Cool first week! I’m very green myself, but I hope you’re finding this place as useful as I am finding it to be.
As for Morphopolis, I feel you. I got really frustrated myself, but just keeping at it eventually yielded results. I fell in love with Windosill years ago, and to this day I think it’s one cute gem. Also, I have LYNE half-played for months now… so we’re in the same boat on that regard too.
AND OH MY FLIP. You just did me a huge favor without knowing. To sum it up: this Groupees bundle accepts Amazon Payment! You know how much I’ve been looking for Amazon Payment friendly bundles? I could hug you. But you’re not here, so. Anyways, thanks! :’D
