After beating it last month, spent a good while longer completing Animal Well. Completing the Steam achievements, that is. Even after that, there are clearly even more challenges and secrets in the game, which I worked on somewhat, but am far from completing, as some seem nigh impossible, or would require one or more tedious replays. So I feel fair and at peace calling it complete.

Animal Well seems pretty popular recently? I’m thinking about picking it up but I’m still not sure what it’s even about. You 100% it but mentioned some challenges seem impossible, are there in-game achievements too?

Animal Well is a wonderful, wonderful game. If you like so-called Metroidvanias, leaning especially towards puzzle solving and exploration, it’s a must. It’s also full to the brim of secrets and stuff to discover. That’s why, even though I have 100% its steam achievements, which already is quite a challenge, I know for a fact that there are even more things to discover and challenges to solve… What’s also nice is that they are not stated in an obvious way, like in-game achievement or a checklist of some kind. But you can observe and pick up clues to figure out things on your own, and reach the conclusion that you have some pieces of something, and there are still missing pieces, or challenges you can attempt, and get ideas of how to try them out. But the ones I don’t already have are really super hardcore stuff. And I’m being vague, but it’s hard to be any more specific without spoiling.
