Update 133: June 2024
I made it to Denver yay Currently sitting in my friends living room, cuddling with their cats, watching NCIS and writing this here. Have had a lot of fun in the past week and it is great to finally meet all of my online friends IRL.
Another installment in the Hero of the Kingdom series. Nothing new, but a short enjoyable experience.

Denver.. reminds me a lot of San Antonio. If I remember correctly - way too many golf courses. Any plans on seeing anything there? I think the neatest thing was the zoo, botanical garden, nature & science museum and the railroad museum.
So far I have been mostly hanging out with my friends and been enjoying pride last week. Also eating a lot of good food. Helps when one of your friends is a chef, working in the industry and knowing everyone and their mom 😂
They are making sure I get to experience as much as possible without overwhelming me. Actually super sweet.
Also got the full American experience last week, when I was staying downtown Denver for a few days with another friend and woke up to an active shooter alert, about a block away and a shelter in place order. I think my friend was more nervous than I was though. Had to tell her to stay away from the windows and sit her ass down.
I actually live about another 5k feet higher up in the mountains from there. Takes about an hour and a half to two hours to get to Denver from my town. That’s not far in mountain terms, lol.
My friends were so worried about how I would cope with the altitude but can’t say I have had any problems with it nor did I experience jet lag, but then I always joke about being up at mountain times anyways, even when I am all the way in Germany, cause a lot of my friends I hang out with are from here.
Yeah. The altitude adjustment isn’t so bad at Denver elevation. Definitely a fun place to be.
