Main Quest #192 - 27 October 2024
I was eager to play Requiem when it released and after playing Innocence, but I’m definitely glad I played through it now. At almost double the playtime than the first one, there were moments where I felt that it would be a bore to play through (before even reaching the mid point of the game), but I’m really glad I continued playing it till the end. The new characters and associated gameplay are great and innovative enough, making the game not feel stale after so “many” hours. The game looks gorgeous and after a certain point it’s just hard to put down and not finish it in one seating.
If you’ve enjoyed the first one, there’s no reason to not play this one if you own it already. If you don’t own it, there are always sales to look out for a good deal.
I’ll be waiting for the third one but I have a feeling that I’ll have to wait a bit more than I did for this one. I’ll gladly wait.
Woah there is going to be a third!? Nice.
I plan on playing Requiem next month. Looking forward.
Theres’ no official confirmation of a third game, but I like to think there is one happening!
Enjoy playing through the game!
Did you had any issues with the games? For me it crashed to desktop a couple of times and is currently in a state, where it crashes right after loading a save game.
Nope, no issues whatsoever here. I had no crash and I was 99% of the time on 60 fps with High settings. I’m running on an all-AMD build (Ryzen 5 5600 and a RX 6700 non-XT, with 16 GB ram). What I did was upgrade my GPU drivers before playing. Maybe that could help you?
Hm the major difference would be the graphics card. AMD Ryzen 7 and a NVidia RTX 3070
The drivers have been up to date.
I also tried verifiying the game files a couple of times as this was the recommended fix in the discussions.
Maybe I have to play it on my steam deck instead 😯
No idea what could be, then.
Does it run well on the Deck? The game did not run very well (on desktop) when it released, no idea about Deck.
Haven’t tried yet. Would of course prefer on PC
