Notes
I have been struggling with my mental health for the past few months, mainly due to loneliness and not much stuff happening in my life and had to take 3 weeks of time off my job to recover. I’m starting to feel better somewhat and next week I’m going on the first vacation I have been on in a good few years to do something else for once and take a break from it all.
Also I skipped the April-June PoP cycle to focus on games I got as gifts from Secret Santas from PAGYWOSG, TalePlay and the older BLAEO Secret Santas (thank you all, you’re all the best :D ), since some of them have already been waiting for a very long time… I’ve started GreedFall, Pyre and Vampire Survivors a few days ago already and I plan to do as much as I can until the next PoP cycle.
BLAEO+ is taking the backseat for now unless something breaks, hopefully I can come back to it soon.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading and have a great Easter!
Congratulations on your assassinations!! ᓚᘏᗢ
Enjoy your break!! I’ve never been on a vacation, I could never justify going because spending more than $300 on anything makes me cringe; although I would absolutely love going to check out historical buildings and places in the EU. I’m not religious, but those chapels are stunning and incredible feats of architecture!!
I hope you have fun with Horizon Zero Dawn! I love playing Ori and the will of the wisps but I kind of regret starting out on hard mode. It was going fine until the boss fights, where one, in particular, is like chipping away as a rock with only a nail, and the rock can kill you in 2 hits. I’ll get back to it.
Thanks! Vacations can get pretty expensive, especially if going to a different country. It’s pretty crazy how many historical places have survived to this day. And yeah, a lot of churches in Europe are really impressive, the architects really loved going all out with those. I will be going to Gdańsk which has St. Mary’s Church, one of the largest brick churches in the world, and it will be interesting to see it in person :)
In that case I’ll probably pass on doing hard mode for Ori, I don’t have much patience with boss fights like this so thanks for letting me know about it :)
Enjoy your vacation! It’s important to take a break from things sometimes. ;)
Oh, you have completed Alan Wake! Congratulations! I plan to replay it again in the future, but can’t imagine getting the hardcore achievements. ^^’
Edit: Also, have fun with Pyre! I loved it. <3
Thanks! The only achievements I had trouble with were the ones for beating the special episodes without dying/reloading a checkpoint. I failed a run once just because a jump launched me off the side for no reason and made me fall off a cliff so I had to redo the whole episode because of it :/ Rest can be done pretty easily with guides and practice. Nightmare difficulty isn’t as difficult as it sounds, most of the run is easy as long as you run from enemies when you can instead of fighting them, while using the flashlight to stun them as often as you can.
I’m excited about playing Pyre, it’s the only Supergiant game I haven’t played yet and their other games were total blasts so far. I listened to some of the soundtrack before and found it just as amazing as in the rest of their games so I just have to play it :)
Ha, yeah, random deaths are the best when going for a no-death run. I feel you. xD Oh, interesting tip for the Nightmare run, will keep it in mind! :)
The soundtrack is even better once you experience the story! ;D
