Since I finally have monthly backlog bars, I can compare my yearly progress!
Also, this was a great month!

I can't believe I've finally beaten Hollow Knight. I'd love to 100% it some day, but some of the achievements are simply beyond my abilities. (Looking at you, speedrun and steel soul!) I'll probably go back to it in the future to do several things I haven't been able to do, but for now I got 2 different endings (The Hollow Knight and Sealed Siblings) so I'm happy. This is really a great game - definitely recommended!
I'll probably give this game another go, seeing I'm missing several achievements - and I only played it once. But for now, my partner is kind of done with the game and I doubt I can convince them to play it again with me any time soon. We finished it once, so it can go to the "beaten" list.
Finally I'm done with this game! It's been dragging since a while, because after finishing most of the puzzles I decided to get all the achievements. To do that, you need to do all of the puzzles in hard difficulty, and that's… well, hard. And because of that I've been putting of playing this game. After giving up on "completing" the game, it was fairly easy to beat - I had around 8 puzzles to finish, which I did in 1.5 hours or so. I'm not going to buy the DLC this time, because enough is enough :)
Honestly, I can't believe I finally "beat" this game. Botanicula is probably one of my oldest games - some of the achievements are from 2013. It's definitely a very easy game to play, and I have no idea why I didn't do it before this month. I remember trying it a few times but each time I'd either get bored or confused, and leave the game unfinished.
It's the first game I beat in my "let's beat some unfinished games" challenge. I have a lot of half-played games which I'm not very interested in and I'll try to force myself through them, often with the help of walkthroughs, to reduce the number of games on my "unfinished" list on BLAEO.
Another game that's finally "beaten". I got this from Humble Bundle when they gave it out for free, and it's been sitting & gathering dust on my virtual games library ever since. I was very close to finishing it when I first played it, but I got stuck at a specific part of Ice Caves and wasn't able to do it. I tried it a few times, at different occasions, and finally I did it! After that part, finishing the rest of the game wasn't very hard. Phew. Another unfinished game is off the backlog.

I'm just very grateful for walkthroughs.
I actually stopped playing this game a couple months back because I couldn't progress without looking up the solutions, and that's not what I wanted to do at the time. Well… I've officially given up on it. I did some of the remaining levels with the help of walkthroughs and finally this is off the backlog.
Logically, She Remembered Caterpillars is the kind of game I'd enjoy since I like puzzle games a lot, especially ones which have some easy and some hard levels. But at one point this game became a chore for me. :P

This game has a really beautiful and sad story, but gameplay was really boring at times. I don't regret playing it, but I wouldn't re-play it.
Also, I was thinking that I'll finish Rakuen during the first week of September but I didn't really have anything else to play, so I kind of crammed all 8.4 hours of game time into 2-3 days.
Non-Steam
This really was a short hike. I really liked the game though, mechanics are simple enough and the art style is very pleasing! I also enjoyed how everyone in the game is very positive.
I beat the main game but there is still a lot of things to do in it.
I haven't done Chapter 8 & 9, as well as any of the B and C sides. I'm thinking to do them at some point, but I also might not get the chance to play them any time soon. I'm a bit tired of the game. It was a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but there's only so much deaths / frustration I can handle before I need a break.
I'm really glad I played it though, definitely recommended.
Look at all that progress!! I knew you had been playing a fair bit in the last week, but that’s more than I thought. Great work!!
That stats bar is looking good :D
That’s because A Story About My Uncle, She Remembered Caterpillars, and Botanicula all had 1-2 hours of gameplay left to do. And then I just focused on Rakuen! :D And thanks!
Yeah, I had no idea I made so much progress in just a year! :D
yay we beat hollow knight together. even if you have like 4 times the amount of time of me XD
Haha that’s mainly because I beat it in my second playthrough! Last summer (when I first got the game) I played around 60 hours. I was horrible at it, and I never made it past Watcher Knights. But it was Traitor Lord who made me rage quit the game.
This time I had to replay the entire thing since I’d forgotten a good chunk of the controls. But I got 107% which I’m proud of! haha. I’m still not very good at it tho. :P Also congrats! Did you enjoy it?
well its not my type of game but i didn’t hate it so yeah I guess I enjoyed it.
Yeah I got my last 5% by doing the godmode boss rush area and its not for the faint hearted trying to beat that annoying thing. I then decided to do the bigger boss rush afterwards because why take a break!
All I got to do is the speedrun - 20 hours. Steelmode and the 3 conflicting achievements. I don’t wanna get lost again I hated that. I’m looking over the speedrun paths and I’m just confused how I’m suppose to know where I’m going without a map!
Speedrunners generally have the areas memorized, so they know where they are going. You can also download a map if you want, and kind of cheat by looking at it from your phone. I’m definitely not going for all achievements - I barely came this far, lol.
Godhome is really hard for me - I think I only have Pantheon 1 done. Not even the second one… I’m really impressed you did so much in such a small amount of time! You must be really good at it :D
well obviously the map i was looking at was a map but it doesnt help tell me where i am. it could be a straight line and that doesn’t mean anything because I’m sure to mess it up somehow
I put all my charms into my attack. So fragile strength, fast slashes and slashes that shoot out white lines. Really just shredded through enemies and especially bosses. On some they did like 1 attack and just dropped dead kinda pitiful. The 1st boss false lord didn’t even do anything just got up so I could continue attacking

You can use this map probably. It’s made of screenshots of every game area :)
Honestly I was the one dropping dead most of the time :p
thanks but again I was using a map but because its not in game I have no idea where I am. I could do a jump to early or go past where I am without knowing. I had trouble just making my way normally but now I have to do it without any idea where I actually am. I could definitely brute force my way to 5 hours but its gonna be gruelling to do so
Well, you do you, but you can always open this external map on a phone, and check where you are - it’s shows areas in game as they are. (Not the drawn in-game map.)
Anyways, good luck with speedrun & steelsoul achievements!
ah to much work ill wing it :P
