1 year on BLAEO :)
So yesterday was my BLAEO cakeday and as per SG cakeday rules you need to make some GAs little “thank you” for getting me to play all those games ^_^
And yesterday i beat one great game :D

Bastion

First of all i love this game, it is great on so many levels. Great gameplay, great music, great story(only wish it was bit longer). Looking forward to replaying it and playing NG+ too. Too many possible weapon combinations to try and each great on it’s own way. Mostly used machete(switched to pike later) and musket, it was perfect combo for me… Sometimes it took me little longer to kill big enemies but that helped me improve with moving. Need to finish all those “Who Knows Where” levels too, nice way of learning about characters. And i must say i suck at challenges, but will try my luck there too. :)
As for Supergiant’s games i am looking forward to getting and playing both Transistor and Pyre one day and i heard they are even better :D

Luck won’t help me with beating backlog, only more time :D And since i started working a month ago my gaming time dropped a lot, but on the other hand it helps getting new PC and games easier :D

I also liked Bastion a great deal. What ending did you pick? What did you do with Zulf? Wasn’t that a beautiful sequence?

I chose evacuation since it looked like meaningful ending. And i did save Zulf, even though he caused all the trouble and many of his countryman were killed by me thanks to him. It took me a while to decide that, while ending was easy choice for me :D
I picked those endings, too. I actually don’t know anyone who chose to leave Zulf behind. I felt for the guy a lot - he caused the attack on the Bastion and turned traitor, but Rucks had a huge hand in the Calamity happening in the first place that wiped out an entire country. I do like, though, that you can argue for both sides.
A lot of people on steam forums chose same endings, probably since it made more sense… Even though i didn’t like what Zulf did the choice was him or the battering ram(which was there only for last level and i didn’t like it very much…) so it was stupid to just leave him there…

I have yet to play Pyre, but Bastion and Transistor were both excellent. You might get a kick out of this, too…

Bastion is such a good game and I also wish it was longer. I loved Transistor too. I think it goes back and fourth on which one is better because both are high quality games that are very different then each other. I think I liked them both the same for different reasons. I haven’t played Pyre yet but I’m surprised to hear how good it is with how odd the VN/sports genre pairing was. Supergiant is just good at making things work I guess!

It took me years to buy Bastion and last winter sale i got it, so glad about it :D And i will probably get Transistor on sale too sometime soon :)
