Monthly tally - Backlog: 28, Yekhus: 4

If the downpour of free games every month already feels ridiculous, this month sure felt like Christmass! Especially for my backlog. While I managed to clear out several shortish games, it's a drop in the ocean of all the new ones coming in. And I somehow managed not to make a single purchase all month, despite the temptation of insane sales all around. And still, backlog got fat as a hog.

Morkredd: Won in a giveaway. A brilliant base concept, for what started as a fun, engaging and truly beautiful cooperative experience to share with my non-gamer partner. Not saying much to avoid spoilers, the very last part was a huge disappointment in several ways. A bitter after-taste for what was mostly a delightful snack.

Disturbed: A little free game, which reminded me of the style and philosophy of branching narrative game books, but in a contained form. Even made the usual repetition of failure, fun, as most of its achievements are a mere collection of the myriad ways you can die in the game.

The Ramp: A fun little digital toy, more than a game. OK to spend a short time with, once or twice, but gets old very quickly.

Alchemist's Castle: A nice short game, offering a very condensed full Metroidvania experience.

Skull & Bones Beta: Not featuring it here, since it's not on steam or backlog per-se (an odd one), but I spent the allowed 6h on the S&B beta. Was really curious about the game, but not sure it will be worthy, so wanted to get a hands-on feel for it.
