2024 is done :D Welcome 2025! I wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope it will be a good one for all of you.
2024
2024 was overall a good year for me. I was able to reduce my backlog for the first time =) It’s still a long way to go but hopefully I will be able to at least reach 30% finished games this year.

2025
For 2025 I set up again some goals I want to reach within the year:
Beat all games on the Yearly Challenge 2025 list
This time it’s a split between Shooters and Walking Simulators as I made a poll on the PAGYWOSG Discord which resulted in a draw between those two options. (Lucky me, either 52 Shooter or 52 Walking Simulators would’ve been hard :D)
Beat all games on the Presents list
Again a list of all presents I got last year. Most of them come from the snowball fight at PAGYWOSG/PoP Secret Santa :D Also some are from “What bundled games have you been trying to win lately?” topic on SteamGifts and some birthday gifts.
icaio special
I really wish I could do this challenge out of a better reason but in case you haven’t read it already, icaio, who was one of the kindest souls of SteamGifts, passed away last year on September 30th. Therefore I will play at least one of my not beaten wins from him every month. This will be a recurring challenge till I have beaten all beatable games I won from him.
May he rest in peace ♥️🐽
Unfinished business
I have now accumulated quite a few unfinished games. I selected 60 of them into a list and plan to at least beat 50% of them this year.
Beat at least 150 wins
In 2024 I wasn’t able to reduce my win backlog a lot, therefore I plan to work more on it this year. The plan is to at least beat 150 of my wins.
Old games
Sam will try to finish some of her 20+ years games, so I will suffer with her :D I selected 30 games from 2010 or older and plan to at least beat 20 of them till the end of the year.

I added quite a lot games last year and plan to work on them before they start to stink :) I want to have beaten at least 50% of them by the end of the year.

This year I also want to get some of my longer games done. I plan to at least beat 25% of the selected list.

Haha like I wrote I only will do at least 50% of the first and 25% of the second. Just wanted to give me some list to choose from :)
I kept that in mind, but looking at your figures for 2024 you absolutely can do it. Looking at MY “games beaten in a year” figures I’d need a lifetime of consecutive miracles to pull it off.
I bet you have some other backlogs like movies where you are way ahead of me :)

I think I might steal your idea of playing one icaio game per month. I still have a few that I haven’t managed to get through that I really should.
It were quite a lot of (very) short games, but at least they are of my backlog now :) This year it will be way less, as I try to get some of the longer games done.
I will try to even activate less games than last year. As I went through my remaining key list at the end of December, there is nothing left, so most new games this year should be from wins (which I also reduced a lot to the former years =) )
Remember that the “won from icaio” category will be available every month at PAGYWOSG :)

Ohhhh didn’t know you guys are keeping it for every month, this should make it easier to keep track (I already added one for this month too). It is going to be sad once again however when I run out of them.
