After almost 20 hours of playing and grinding, I finally got all of the new achievements (for "Hideaway Hollow" update) in Staxel! This game is fun, but the update had some issues which made getting the new seeds and the bugs a tedious process. It isn't a new completion so doesn't really reduce anything from my backlog, but it's been fun to play more of Staxel. Thankfully it's over - I didn't want to grind the game more than I already did.
A little note for people who are planning to play the new update:
Purple nettle can grow in all seasons but the rest of the seeds (grape, artichoke, and rhubarb) all are spring/summer crops. Both grape and artichoke almost takes a month to grow (21-28 days) so planting them in early spring is the best idea, unless you have magic water to grow them instantly.
The Milkyway Owlfly, Sun Butterfly and Moon Butterfly all spawn at the same point. I somehow bugged the point by trying to mark it, so instead of marking it with an item (visually), try to remember where it is. I spent an entire in-game month with nothing spawning at the point. Since there's (for now) only 1 single spot where these three spawn at, it was very tedious to wait for the island reset.
I beat it for my "let's beat some unfinished games" challenge. I have a lot of half-played games which I'm not very interested in and I'll try to force myself through them, often with the help of walkthroughs, to reduce the number of games on my "unfinished" list on BLAEO.
I actually pulled this from my "won't play" pile, and didn't use any walkthroughs because I didn't go for collectibles. Instead I just focused on beating the game - and with Windlands done, I've officially beaten all of my SteamGifts wins! (LOL, all 3 of them!) I'm very happy that this game is done. I didn't enjoy it much and my fingers hurt.
I have 1 (one) single fish missing in Yonder and it's the only reason why I don't have all achievements in this game. However, after around 4-5 hours of trying to catch it (in real time), I have given up on it.
I swear usually this tab isn't this crowded... however this month I kept switching between games. I was supposed to finish Life is Strange, but that didn't happen because just as I was getting into it again, my university work got tripled and I couldn't game much. Similarly I didn't play a lot of Dead Cells, but I played some, so here it is. I was very close to beating Kingdom when I died in game, so it's also here. (I'm not sure if I'll actually go and beat it at this point, to be honest.)
On a better note, I did a lot of coloring this month and finished "Community 1" and "Book 3" of Coloring Pixels. And played tons of Fall Guys.
Thanks Garcias again, for gifting me Smile For Me! And to Parallax/Tovstonoh for Neo Cab!
I ended up grabbing Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles and Mystic Pillars during the Steam Halloween Sale; and then Lyne and Coloring Pixels Advent 1 DLC during the Autumn Sale. I really have no idea what happened this month, but I've acquired more than I've finished for a change. December shall be an intense gaming month, then!
Look at all those new games!!! :0
You did say you got a few but that’s a lot for you haha
That’s definitely a lot for me! I have no idea what happened this month :P
you are almost out its all good. Thats pity numbers compared to other friends I’ve seen they had double
I try to keep my backlog small, so that’s why it’s a lot for me. But yeah, compared to others, this is nothing.
I just hope to get to them soon :)
