I didn’t really like EfaDW. I’m more a scientist than a literary person, add that english is not my main language, and you will understand my pain “playing” this game. There is only 3 stories you can go through, so not really a lot to see. You can read other people text, I don’t know if I had bad luck but it was so bad that I did not insisted on this.
But Octodad was so fun ! A shame it was so short, each playthrough was ~2 hour long. I did it with a roomate, and the second time we did it at 4 with two other roomates. I really hope a second game is going to come.
I realize posting this that it’s not a lot in term of completion, but it’s because i started a huge piece. One of my roomate has a PS4, and seeing him play FFXV made me want to also play a FF.

And we are also playing right now Resident Evil 7 with a computer plugged on the TV, one is doing keyboard and another the mouse, we are taking HOURS for some bosses haha. But I maitain horror games are not my cup of tea…
Hm, your comments actually made me installt “Elegy for a Dead World” right away. I’m wondering if I might even use it for a project at university, I will definitely have to check it out. Thanks for reminding me of it!
Slighty off-topic: How do you get these fancy thingies which show a picture, provide a link as well as playtime and achievements plus colour corresponding to their status in your post? Would you mind telling me?
What do you study (or teach ?) at University ? I would be curious to know about a project you might do with it ! I got this game in a bundle, and when I looked at the store it was looking so promising, it was a real disappointment for me…

I’m basically studying English with a focus on literature, and will have to do a project (i.e. something somewhat creative) based on two seminars. These seminars dealt with new media (among other aspects the question of how certain media might shape our future) and religion respectively. I just thought that I might be able to write a story about either (or a combination of) these topics in Elegy. I would just have to check with my studies coordinator beforehand and would have to provide scholarly sources that what I’m doing has some merit to it.

I “used” Elegy to remind a winner of this game (in Playing Appreciated group) that he needs to play it within a month, as group rule require. It was fun for this purpose ;-)

I also wrote some not-too-bad poetry the other day to see how the “game” “plays”.
Heh, cheevos in ‘Elegy’ say that one should get 1000 commendations, but max is ~800 and only 3 works got more than 100. Developers overestimated people’s enthusiasm about this game. Tbh, I wrote about poop. Kinda wrote, because I got bored and just pasted word ‘poop’ everywhere =D
Yes, I did not even mention achievement, they’re impossible…
