Got some new games. Gonna play them. Hopefully.
Also should be getting:
yee.
Have fun with the first Assassin’s Creed! I absolutely adore that game, but be warned you should pace yourself, it’s very repetitive. The story is great, the assassinations are incredible and are the best in the series up until Unity (due to their black box nature rather than the very linear assassinations in most other ACs), the combat is good, and it has some amazing concepts and set the foundation for the rest of the series. But you will burn yourself out if you binge it.
Not to mention, it’s absolute hell to 100%. 420 flags to collect and 60 templars to kill, and there’s no in game map for them so you will have to use an external guide. Not fun at all, it gets old very quickly, especially when there are a couple of templars that can be glitched.
Yeah, probably won’t fully complete, but it is estimated to only take 31 hours. So if that’s the case, I might give it a try. I dunno ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, it took me about 40 hours to 100% it, so literally half of the game was spent getting collectibles. So unless you’re a massive fan of the series and can’t play a game without fully completing it then don’t put yourself through that torture. Just enjoy the story and pace yourself and you’ll have more fun.
I hope you’re not a completionist for that AC1 win – great game otherwise, as others have said!
One of my favorite little moments in the new DOOM was when your character goes to pry open a door with both hands, and the camera changes, and I’m all ready to go through the BS of mashing a button to pry a door open… … … and I didn’t have to! :D That really made me happy. It’s an excellent successor to the old games, imho!
From what I’m hearing, I probably won’t bother completing absolutely everything. It doesn’t have achievements, so I can do so guiltless.
Gunpoint is great, never heard about deadbolt. A solid list, good luck
I bought it because of Gunpoint—my favourite game.
deadbolt is great I fully recommend.
Have fun! The first Assassins Creed is very repetitive and has some flaws (can’t swim, really?) but it’s a good classic.
I watched a friend play Soma and it’s an interesting game too.
Hope you enjoy these!
Fun fact, the official reason you can’t swim in AC1 is because of a glitch in the Animus 1.28. This is fixed by Rebecca so Ezio is able to swim in the animus 2.0. So Altair was actually a proficient swimmer, but the animus wouldn’t allow for it. I feel like maybe they just didn’t want to create a swimming animation or wanted to add some “challenge” to the game. Either way, he should have been able to swim.
