February 2020 report
Hello everyone! Hope you had a great month.
I am really enjoying participating in PoP, but now I am slightly torn apart. I am happy that I play more games from my regular backlog, but as I am little bit of a completionist I got sad that I don’t have much time for my already beaten games. As I sadly can’t get picked beaten games in PoP I had to figure what should I do… soooooo, I have decided to use random number generator, with it I will select each month one beaten game that I will play. I don’t need to complete it, just work on it some more. ;)
This my own challenge will start from the next month.
_____
Please excuse me if you find any mistakes, after I post my report I usually find many of them, but I really read the post few times before I send it out. X) Feel free to point them out to me. ;)
Enough of small talks and now to the actual assassinations! Good luck in a new month and have a great time everyone!
This is amazing game! It offers great experience and the same feeling as the famous movie, which I am big fan of. I liked the sounds and visuals, it’s just completely same! It offers such great nostalgic feeling. In some aspects it reminded me a lot of Dead Space and I like that one too. ;)
Gameplay is great, heavily concentrated on stealth and hiding and you need to outsmart your enemies as you can’t take them head-on. Apart from our perfect organism you can meet with nervous humans fighting for survival and they will not hesitate to attack you, and with androids which will quickly help you into nothingness. As you keep exploring through the almost abandoned station Sevastopol you will find some materials which you can use to build medkits, bombs or noisemakers. Your weapon arsenal will also grow, but be careful when you use them, because you want to stay quiet as much as possible. As the station you are on has been sealed off there are many locked places you need to go. You have few tools to help with that - wrench, plasma and ion torch, hacking tool. Anything you do, you do it in real time, only when checking map you get paused. So when you are working on terminal or you are cutting through closed vent or you are saving (!) - you are vulnerable, nowhere is safe!
As you progress through the story you will meet with our perfect one. I have read that they made some extra hyper AI for him and for sure he seems to know where you are all the time. The longer you are in one position the more he will sniff around. You have some places to hide, but when you are not careful he will find you and sometimes it’s almost by surprise. It was really scary when he came and pulled me out of the closet. XD If he catches glimpse of you, there is almost no chance you will get away from him, of course you can scare him off, but the more you do it the more bold he becomes. He is very sensitive so watch your steps and don’t start firefight or punch the walls with wrench as he will be there by second, of course you can do that and make him to kill enemies blocking your way, don’t forget that he ignores androids though. But I have always prefered that he stays in the vents as long as possible, because once he gets down to you he is horrible to avoid. I have stumbled right into him many times, he is just impossible to see in the dark, smoke, flashing lights and so on. Great thing in this is the noise he makes, you can tell if he is in the vents, stomps around (he really stomps) or when he jump back into vents.
I was scared of using vents at first, but you have no choice. He went after me few times as he saw me entering it, but I was safe there or so I thought. Till the end, I was sitting there, listening to record when I heard something, I turned around and there he was, oh god, that was creepy how he crawled at me. XD The visuals are great, it’s fun to look at the many ways he can hunt you down. ;D
So, something negative? Nope. Story is simple, you are fighting for survival after all. Atmosphere is perfect!!! Gameplay is without any problems. I have really enjoyed it!I can only recommend this game! :)
Maybe some of you have already seen my perfect shot, but I am so proud of it that I need to show it some more. :P Bigger version on my profile. ;)
Cute little game about monster from the cave and his adventures. :)
We have made two runs, because of two missing achievements, but even for the second time it was a great fun! Graphic is simple, but appealing and makes you chuckle all the time. Nothing can compare to it when you play in co-op. That’s sadly possible only in extra levels. But we had so much fun, that we couldn’t stop laughing at some points. :D
Perfect point and click adventure game wrapped in nice pixel graphics!
You play as a Detective Francis McQueen who is, with the help of his trusty sidekick Officer Dooley, solving the most unbelievable and mysterious cases that nobody wants to do as nobody believes in them in the first place. :D Truth is that our Detective has a hard time to convince Dooley about supernatural occurrences too. X)
Whole game is build upon great interaction between main characters, they are just adorable! Also it’s filled with a lot of references on famous books and movies. The bonus case Buy Hard just killed it. XD
As the whole story ends with a HUGE cliffhanger we need sequel! Just now I have noticed that they have made a successful kickstarter for it, so this year we should be able to play it, probably. ;)
Interesting visual novel about lonely city in the vast frozen plains and secrets behind its walls. About the last few citizens that stay there and try to survive the True winter. Not really my type, but still enjoyable.
Playing as two characters, boy and girl, in the same time was a nice touch, I liked how their stories and point of views intertwined. Graphic was very pretty, especially the background, also music was really pleasant. Characters are lively as they are animated, but that also disturbed me a little. Their mouth is moving, but as there is no voice acting I think it’s a little bit unnecessary, I was concentrating on the text anyway and almost completely missed it.
Cataegis brings back memories. This nice short retro arcade game reminds me of old games I played as young. I have enjoyed the story that you uncover through the game, you can access the lore in the main menu so you can always come back to it. Also there is like 30 possible endings!
Game is interactive, you can find boxes and secret compartments in which are hidden messages, weapons or boosters. The fights are challenging, but standart enemies are doable even without much concentration. In boss fight you need to focus thought, can’t just mash the buttons. ;) Just the hitboxes could be sometimes done in better way.
You can save manually at the beginning of each area. If you die you can choose to load at the beginning or you can choose to continue and that will put you on the last checkpoint, but beware you will lose all special weapons.
It’s really fun. :)
Last month was a great opportunity to complete this great adventure game. I had to make another complete run as I missed one achievement that required it, but I was glad. It’s still nice as I remember it, even if Rachel was a bit too much cynic for me sometimes. The story is interesting, mysterious and captivating even for second time. Of course, it has been five years already. ;)
I have now played even the Stories Untold which are shedding some light on the event before main game. You have to restore memory cores, by circuit board assembly minigame. Just that. They have different difficulty levels and some of them really baked my brain. ;) Sooo, that was a bit of let down, I was expecting something more like the main game even if a bit shorter. Assembling so many circuits proved tiresome. X)
Even if this is an older lego game, we are having lot of fun. The scenes are taken completely from the movies and those little lego fellows are nicely passionate in their roles. XD
The first three movies felt as a quick experience, but the later one are somewhat longer. Game is sadly missing split screen, so it can bring hilarious moments as both of us want to go the other way. XD Racing and space battling are just awesome! We are having so much fun! :)
We made quick progress through the story and now we will open all the characters, ships, extras and so, there is still a lot to do! :D
Nothing new this time. :)

Have you played any of the DLC? Is it worth it?
LEGO® Star Wars™ - The Complete Saga
I haven’t played it in co-op, but it’s a great game regardless. Mindblowing how much content is in it.
Not yet, but I plan to play all of them at least once. Luckily they have no achievements, so I can just play around. Also I think that in one of them you can play as Ellen and relive the last moments of Nostromo. ;)
Weren’t you overwhelmed by it all when playing alone? We are not sure what’s happening most of the time. XD Yes, there is so much to do, to explore, to find! It’s really nice. :)

Eh, AI companion is competent enough. I remember getting peeved when you need two characters to activate levers at the same time and AI wasn’t cooperating for a while. Upcoming Skywalker Saga should apparently bring all existing Lego titles together + new releases for the Sequel Trilogy.
Oh yes, I like how they find their place on switches and stand there so nicely. :)
They could be more helpful in collecting studs though. I can’t help, but it seems to me that they are disappearing more quickly than in Marvel Superheroes and when we each go different way they all just vanish. XD
Yeah, can’t wait for the new trilogy! :D Hmm, does that mean I will need to play all 9 movies? Uf, that would be exhausting. ;)

I wonder if it means three new “games” for the new movies and they’ll just re-package those with Complete Saga content. Hell, the Force Awakens already has a game.
500 hours in PoE? What are you doing there? D:
Enemies do not respawn, so I didn’t even see reason to go back to once cleaned map.
Tehehe, I really hoped that no one would notice. XD
Well, there is a lot of influences… I am rather a slow player, I like to take my time. Sometimes I am forced to load up hours of progress because I don’t like some outcomes. Other thing is, that when I started playing I was ending my college and I didn’t played any games for almost a year (yeah, such upstanding student I was XD). When I came back to Pillars I wasn’t comfortable with continuing (I just love starting games again and again), so I started a new character. Later I became sad that I am not continuing my first choice, so I loaded that up too. And to make it more complicated I started even third playthrough… that’s the whole story. XD
Also it got idled a little I think.
I Love me some Lego games. I usually play them with my nephew and boy are you right about that split screen thing. This let to a lot of yelling between me and my nephew when playing Lego Star Wars since we usually went in opposite directions😅
But it is great fun. We are actually on our third Lego game now. Played the complete Saga, the Force Awakens and are now playing Marvel Superheroes.
Haha, exactly! :D
I still need to get me the Force Awakens, but Marvel Superheroes are great! So much great that we have instantly bought the second one. XD
Have you seen my list of games? I think I have nearly every Lego game there is. When my nephew saw this he was like : Mama, I need to come here more often. I need to help Auntie kill her backlog.
Oh gosh, you are right! I think I need to visit you too! XD
Also, I think that my backlog will be soon as big as yours… O.O You are not alone in this fight! XD
As long as we keep fighting, everything is okay. We will win this fight someday. And if we are 90 years old.
