2023: Alien Bugs Invade Earth

The achievements in this game is so busted guys. I tried 1 level back a while ago and it unlocked achievements for the other levels. I finally managed to beat the game this time only for it not unlock the fact I beat lvl 2

Its an unfinished game and won't be getting finished. Thanks to the whole unity paying thing it was suppose to be changed over to a new engine but they are giving up with it and just restarting with a fresh game

8Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure

I remember first playing this, hitting my 1st bump in the road and just kinda being like ughhh but I gave it a proper go this time and almost gave up. I got stuck on the first chase boss for an hour but then I finally beat it and I'm glad I did as 8doors was so much fun to play once I upgraded some more

The maze puzzle almost made me quit yet again but its a fun enough puzzle game. I did try going for all the endings but I decided to reach the good end for one but then decided to purposely die for the bad only to fail at getting the good end the next 5 times and I couldnt keep rewatching the scenes again and again

Castle Wonders - A Castle Tale

This is kinda a boring hog. I'm pretty sure its a phone game since pictures show an energy bar but that doesn't happen here. When buying items with money I found that my money didnt go down but if I used an item to get money it didn't increase and I wasted an item. To complete the game you only need to reach level 35 while all items require level 50 and I just don't think there's a real end goal. I couldnt even work out one of the side quests as I started to believe its mobile only.

Its just a hog where you keep replaying lvls again and again in order to get 5 stars. Near the end I didn't even bother with playing it as I had so much cash between buying the double cash upgrade, double xp, extra luck that buying magnets really wasn't putting any debt on me and was still a profit

Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.7 Minagoroshi

I can't believe how long its been since I played higurashi. I loved higurashi but then I beat part 6 and apparently didn't touch it for 4 and a half years! It took 1 year to do part 6 from the others. I was a bit worried about the new goat girl and I mean it goes off the rails as soon as you press new game. But it was great and I loved it. I hate shion but you know what she was pretty okay in this game so that's telling you how great part 7 is

I think I preferred this game back when I played it as a kid. Well as I just searched the 4th game apparently beautiful katamari I didn't realise there was so many. It was fun playing it with mum while now its kinda meh and boring

I really wanted and tried so hard to 100% this game as I do enjoy the characters a lot but finding the missing traits got boring after a while. Its not even clear on what one was missing or how many, I think at least 2 based on the lack of shadow area. Plus the few lists that people reported they got was all done so who the hell knows. But yeah the characters are great

Outrage

Its a smaller game from the devs then previous ones. You get a map and have to pick between 6 areas. Not every area has a mission each chapter. Sometimes your reward is a new character, - or + reputation or help during the main mission like enemies missing or help from outsiders. You even get 3 ends but I'm not sure on how much of the end there is as I wasn't paying enough attention to see what might've been different

Psychonauts 2

I absolutely loved this game. The areas are more wacky, there are more areas to explore. There is a point of no return but unlike the previous game you do get to return to each area again so its more of just a minor thing then a game ending situation. There is of course a lot of platforming but there's no meat circus or boss fight focused on platforming so its hardly an issue in my book. I did prefer the kids in the previous game but eh you can't win on everything and at least they are more important this time round and frankly those previous kids kinda sucked too!

The Escapists

The 1st game in the series is pretty much as tame as it can be. You can't really escape in a whole lot of different ways. Like sure you can do it a bit differently but in the end it will just end up being the same thing time and time again. Just waiting for an item to appear which is frustrating in the desert area cuz you kinda need the red key to get the items needed but the guards are never around there apart from the 3 you dont need. While In the walking dead one its of course story related and escapists 2 has multiple ways of escaping even 1 way as multiplayer

This was a great week. I got a lot of games done, only 2 being new and 1 of them being a series that I struggled for years to get back into. Plus like this month I managed to get a win so I know what I’m starting up tomorrow

Zelrune

Congratulations on your assassinations!!! ᓚᘏᗢ
I can’t believe you 100% Psychonaughts 2, what an achievement! 25 hours on a 15 HLTB main game time though, what’s the 10+ hours for? Collectables?

Cece09

Well yh its a psychonauts game so thousands of things to collect

Mitsukuni

I like Higurashi chapters because they are a new story every time yet it doesn’t fall weird even if you had a big hiatus. How are the vanilla PC versions by the way, I haven’t read the vanilla yet. Though I do suggest the console versions too since they have top-notch voice acting.

Cece09

oh i only played the 1st 3 games before i realised the console version gives cgs while pc doesn’t. but number 7 actually does require you to remember things through all the other 6 games. I mean I still had a slight knowledge but it definitely would’ve been better to play all in 1 go as it was a bit confusing at times what game it was referencing. The goat girl looks so childish in this form while console makes her look older. The photographer though is definitely more convincingly strong in pc though

Back in the day we had someone who went around gathering reviews for games that people talked about. I got asked about my higurashi post, then I replayed it cuz I had to see what I missed and they asked me again it was so funny that they liked both so much to ask but I did absolutely adore the game. I do say you wanna recommend a visual novel to me have it be yuri or have blood. Bonus points for both

Mitsukuni

Yeah I agree with that. Though it’s quite long to play in one sit. Back in days, I watched the anime (1st season) in 2 days. So I can vouch for how captivating it is. VN form is much much longer, especially with voice-acting and auto-play, and obviously VN has so much more content.

The photographer though is definitely more convincingly strong in pc though

Heh, I guess he fits undercover more on console version.

I have mixed feelings for the PC version of characters. While Hanyuu and Rena look more childish, Mion and Shion look kinda scary (especially Shion). Gotta admit those drawings make the whole thing darker though.

Someone likes yandere. :P
Cannot say the same thing for blood part but I’m fully agree with yuri part. :)
