Not a bad month overall, despite the shorter month and scarce time dedicated to play. Guess that the odd shorter game, plus a couple of dicards do add up. Will look for more of those in the coming months to make bigger dents in the backlog.

Played Roboquest with a friend. Great fun! I'm saving it for more co-op sessions. Hope they happen soon and often. Mini Thief surprised me, being deeper and more fun than I initially thought. Will try to beat it next month, in short bursts, if it doesn't become too frustrating in the higher levels. The permadeath component makes me a bit too tense when difficulty starts to rely too much on precision.

Too many games, too little time. So whenever I try a game I can't be bothered to keep up, I scratch it off mercilessly. It's a win. But the rule is that I have to give it an honest try first.
XIII Classic: a real pity, this one. I started playing it, and felt nice and fun. I wanted to keep going, but this version is just painfully buggy. Resolution, sound, mouse problems... but the game killer was where it sometimes didn't close properly, froze my whole windows and I had to restart my computer to keep using it at all. Sad and terrible, but at the end of the day, it's one game less on my backlog.

Yes, was pretty nice! Loved how the different chapters added variety and expanded the whole story and lore, from a pretty contained haunted housy thing, to a more surreal, dream-like cosmic voyage. As a fan of weird fiction, it was absolutely my vibe. I will definitely be playing the second season, maybe even this month, while the first one is still fresh.
Too bad for XIII, that’s one of the games i hesitated to buy cause i love the comic :(

Yes, a really sad one, this. Glad it saved you the potential heartbreak. I was hoping there would be some fan-made patch or something like that, to fix the issues, but didn’t find any. Do take note: this is the “classic” one, but I think there’s a remake, in case you want to look it up. Don’t know how that one fares, although its user ratings on Steam are not too great.
I might try the comics though. The vibes in the game, what little I managed to play, gave me an itch for those characters and stories.
Ah ah yes i also spotted the new version just in case ! The comic is top, we had read it years ago after gifting progressively the full collection to my dad cause has was a fan, it’s extremely well written.
