December Assassination #10 - Now it's for real!

8.7 hours

Steam Review. Consider liking it - it means a lot to me :)

Tacoma was a wild experience - one of my favorite walking simulator so far, maybe second only to Firewatch. The detective kind of work involving rewinding and fast-forwarding recorded events is a lot of fun, the station is super beautiful and fun to explore, and there are decent puzzles involving physical objects and non-obvious connections and passwords. If we're being honest, all the puzzles are easy, but they are still fun to pursue.

I enjoyed my time in the station and wouldn't mind spending more time at such a gorgeous environment and with a great time-manipulation mechanic that should be more common in other games. And now, Happy 2025 folks!

Happy New Year!! ᓚᘏᗢ
TACOMA is such a treat, the ending was so unexpected and honestly, I really think I need to replay it in 2025. Any games you are looking forward to in January?

It was a bit jarring! I feel it came a bit out of nowhere … and I saw a lot of reviewers on Steam complaining about it, but I didn’t think it was such a big deal. The rest of the game was enjoyable enough that the ending didn’t bother me, I guess.

A lot of the Youtubers I follow have videos covering Tacoma and Gone Home, which I haven’t played yet (and is a SG Win), so I’m thinking I should prioritize it in Jan 2025 so I can finally watch these videos without spoiling my experience hahaha but I also prioritized Papers, Please from my backlog, which I won from RayOfLight in the Secret Santa event in 2023 so it’s long overdue.

I also picked 5 other games for the PAGYWOSG event, so getting through Nairi: Tower of Shirin or Joshua’s Legs would also be pretty cool for my backlog assassination hehe how about you?

Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West and BUSTAFELLOWS are definitely on my list, but I would like to complete 4-5 games every month, so I might slip in Imposter Factory and Oneshot!

Horizon looks so good, but even if I won it on SG, I probably wouldn’t either a PAGYWOSG event with it. It’s like Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Last of Us, I was so hyped to play them that I didn’t want to rush the experience and complete them within a monht. TLOU ended up taking less than a month anyway, but RDR2 dragged for 5 months and was even better for it. Fingers crossed for you :)
