Well like the previous months before me this month was spent cleaning up some more games. I still got a bunch to do of course but I will be definitely focusing on some newer games next month like my latest win
Late edit as I forgot my progress bar and I’m honestly confused because how did I activate so much? I mean I knew I activated a few bundles from dailyindie which were going for the cheap like the 19/29p type but I didn’t spend alot of money there to make up that amount. I focused on long games for my sale so I didn’t end up with over 100 there. I also don’t remember going on a free game spree so what happened!? I mean now I look at them yeah I guess it added up without me realising it and because I focused on completing old games I wasn’t making any real progress. But I know when the time comes I can get rid of them super quickly so while it looks super bad its also not gonna put to much of a pressure on my backlog either you know
Favourite game of the month is easy, college kings was the newest possible game here but its also just a good game. I’m so glad that when they brought out season 2 they gave the dlc free to everyone as I might’ve not bothered otherwise but now I know I want the 2nd season and will get it when they finish the game
I’m still keeping Tokto Xanadu ex+ as a gateway for me for third-person Ys games. I must finish all other Ys titles I have though. I really love Falcom+isometric formula so will enjoy that as long as I can. But it seems this was enjoyable enough.
I know the other xanadu is a totally different thing but I am interested to try it out. The only one so far not agreeing with me is zwei but I’ll try again one day as I keep saying but like its right at the end of my list to get to
But yeah you wish your jrpgs had more time action its a perfect game for you
I noticed that Xanadu Next has souls-like tag, thinking that it actually looks like isometric Ys games it looks kinda weird but I think it deserves that tag. Well, the first Zwei game didn’t age well because of its weird controls but the second game was a great mixture of action and puzzle for me. Plot and characters were nice too.
Probably I still have a couple years until I play Tokyo Xanadu (since I play Falcom games when I crave them) but yeah it does look like something I would enjoy very much.
Heh, I’m actually more like a classic turn-based JRPG lover but Falcom has a different place for me I guess.
Yeah it doesnt have the bump system but you have to swap between your characters cuz they each have their own element
I just wish the first game was playable with a controller. Keyboard+mouse sucks.
Oh I hate mouse and controller with the IF games. I always get so confused in hyperdimension when I’m trying to turn the characters and all that junk. Its like a puzzle to remember how to even open the menu
I think they fixed that, you should be able to set the attack area with LB and RB now. Buy yeah, it was painful.
