Hello everybody.
I am new here ( joined about 2 weeks ago ) so I haven’t managed to fully sort out my library but I already have a plan.
I found out about this website through a post about January being a play a game you’ve won on sg month, so I stuck to it.
I’ve managed to beat “Her Story” (frankly it wasn’t a great achievement, since it’s really short) and had time for the third and fourth episodes of “Back to the Future”. I might even manage to beat the final episode until the end of the month !
My goal for the following months is to go for the sg wins I am interested in and all of my Telltale games.
I guess you are wondering the reason I am not interested in all of my sg wins. Well, the truth is that when I joined sg I would enter every giveaway I could so I ended up with games I have no interest in.
Well, this belong to the past and although I feel somewhat ashamed there is nothing I can do about it now.
Back to my backlog killing plan now. Progress will be slow since I am not hoping for more than a game per month, but it’s better than nothing. I will post in the first days of every month the game(s) I intend to play and the progress at the end of that month.

The first tip I received when I joined a month ago was that it’s always good to start with shorter games, it helps build momentum. Also try making batches that include multiple different genres, there are times that you just need a break from something. The Monthly theme can also prove good incentive to try out some games too.
Most important tip though is have fun! (^o^)b

There are many people on SG (myself included) who wish they didn’t enter certain giveaways, especially in their early time on SG. Don’t worry about it. :)
Wolfedood provided the most important tip: make sure you’re having fun. Whether it’s playing a game, writing an update, or organizing your backlog, if you’re not having fun, stop what you’re doing, and do something fun! =)
Well, it still hurts to see those sg wins. They remind me of the days I was a leecher.

Also I noticed that you have a really huge list of ‘won’t play’ games 0_o
I used to buy a lot of bundles either cause they were cheap or because there were games with cards included.
Moreover, since I am already 30 with a full time job, a wife, a son and soon a second child (probably a son as well) I had to narrow my games down to those I absolutely want to play. I am running out of gaming time
Welcome! I had the same issue when I started SG… I would enter anything… now I have 6,239 games that are in my ignore list.
It takes a bunch of time to sort through all of your games… but once you get rolling you will start to love it.
Personally I made a commitment to not buy a game for myself in 2017… this will help me go through my backlog and play all the games I have missed along the way.
Well, I forced myself to not by anything during the winter sales and I will try to do the same throughout the whole year. Only exception was the Assassin’s Creed bundle of which I got the tier 1. Oh and the Humble monthly bundle since I have an annual subscription that lasts till September I think
