For Pickers. Just copy paste and complete the data :)
* [GAME#1](http://store.steampowered.com/app/GAME#1-ID/) - HLTB Time: GAME#1-HLTBTIME
* [GAME#2](http://store.steampowered.com/app/GAME#2-ID/) - HLTB Time: GAME#2-HLTBTIME

- Please make sure your games are sorted by completion before applying.
- If you so desire and you have at least 5 unplayed SG wins, the 5 games can be picked out of your SG wins (instead of only 2/5). Just note it in your application comment.
- Note in your post if you're ok playing multiplayer only games.
- Same for Early Access (I know some people want to wait for release).
- When you finish one (or more) of the games picked for you, please post an update by replying to your picker's comment.
- If the game has achievements, you can link to either the Steam or Astats page corresponding to your progress.
- If the game doesn't have achievements, please post a screenshot showing your completion.
- Finally, if you have completed all the games that were assigned to you but want another go at it, feel free to post another application.
- You can pick for/challenge up to 2 fellow assassins, please refrain to pick more so everybody who wants get a chance at it.
- You can pick for anybody who has applied and hasn't been given a list yet, unless they specified otherwise (see next point). It is recommended to signal with a "reserved" comment that you're currently picking for that person. This way it'll avoid the situation where you spend time picking games just to come back to somebody's comment 2 minutes prior.
- Please use the following criteria when picking a list for somebody.
- Pick exactly 5 games
- Length-wise: at least 2 short games (under 10h to beat) and 2 medium (under 15-20h). You can use HLTB to check the time, or more conveniently the Enhanced Steam browser extension (it shows the HLTB time directly on the game's steam page). That rule can be overridden by the bottom (i.e. pick 5 short games) but not the other way around, as not everybody has the same time to dedicate to gaming.
- Pick two SG wins unless the person specified SG wins only, in which case pick only in the applicant's SG wins list.
- Quality-wise: at least 3 of the 5 games should have a positive (or above) rating. You can use this site to quickly sort games in a user's library by ratings (thanks to JaffaCaffa for the suggestion).
- Please, respect the applicant's choice regarding multiplayer-only and Early access games, as well as other requests (exclusion of certain genre etc.).
- Please use the code below to post your comment, it's already formatted, you just have to copy/paste & complete the data.
Do I have to participate in this event?
No, this is an event to help you reduce your backlog. If you already have a plan and don't want anyone to pick games for you, you're free to ignore it.
What happens if I don’t participate in the event?
Absolutely nothing.
What happens if I play all the games picked for me this month?
Still nothing. (You might get a shiny profile badge at some later date. And you can come back for another batch.)
What if I don’t have time to play 5 games?
Don’t worry, one is enough, we’re just asking the pickers to select 5 to give the player a little choice.
One of the game picked for me won’t run on my computer for X or Y reason, what do I do?
If this happens, please notify the picker by replying his comment and ask them to pick a replacement. If the original picker don’t give you an answer within 24h, don’t panic, just leave a comment and we’ll pick one for you. Meanwhile, you could try one of the other picked games if you haven't played them all yet.
I played all 5 games that were picked for me and I want more!
If you have completed all 5 games and reported your completion to the original comment, you can make a new request for another list.
When picking for other people, can I only pick “never played” games?
Not necessarily, you can also pick games that seem to have been abandoned but haven’t been categorized as “won’t play”. No beaten or completed games, or games being currently played obviously.
Why are there so many rules for picking the games? I can’t be bothered!
We’re trying to make this enjoyable for everyone so if you decide to pick games for others, please read and follow the rules. I’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for the pickers too, but if it’s bothering you too much, remember you don’t need to pick games for others to join the challenge.
I’m new here, can I join the challenge?
Yes of course (and welcome to BLAEO). Please just be sure to have your games sorted by progress before signing up for the challenge, to make it easier for your picker.
I picked for you last time so I’ll give someone else a chance, but let me know if you want me to pick for you again!
Haha yep that’s why I didn’t choose for you this time too :) Let’s see if someone else wants to pick. =)
Alicia Quatermain: Secrets Of The Lost Treasures - A solid clear-the-road management game, in my opinion.
Downfall/The Cat Lady - It’s your prerogative as to which one to play first, since the plots are connected by the barest of threads, but they’re both grim, psychological masterpieces.
Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard - Just because it’s a nice, small game to pick up in case you’re short on time or need a break :)
Grim Fandango Remastered - A point-and-click so bizarre most new players (and a handful of old ones) won’t even bash you for using a guide. It’s a classic, there’s nothing quite like it to my knowledge, I think it would make a great movie.
Paradigm - I don’t know what most people think of this one; personally, I loved it. Might be because it’s full of a bizarre love for more-or-less Slavic culture, which, being from a Slavic country myself, tickled me in the right way. Plus, you can never go wrong with phat beatsies :D
Thanks a lot for the picks :) Didn’t even know Downfall and The Cat Lady are connected at all
pretty sure all their games are ever so slightly connected. If I am remembering correctly they are even bringing out a 4th
Oi, don’t you even try to bring my hopes up. The final achievement of Lorelai mentions closing its door on the trilogy…

Oh holy fuck, now that’s an instant wishlist! Thanks for the info!

Hey, you’re welcome! They’re those games, the ones I can’t help but be jealous you’re gonna get to experience for the first time ever because of how much I liked them :)
Challenge me!
- Tacoma - HLTB Time: 2½ Hours - A Sci-Fi game so it fits the monthly theme :) Also a good example how a LGBT game should be made, so it fits this too ;)
- Aquaria - HLTB Time: 16 Hours - Don’t know this game, but it looks like fun :)
- Finding Paradise - HLTB Time: 5 Hours - Proof that RPGmaker games can be really good
- LEGO® MARVEL’s Avengers - HLTB Time: 8½ Hours - Saw you played some of the other LEGO games ;)
- MouseCraft - HLTB Time: 6 Hours - I really enjoyed this, hope you’ll like it too =)
Challenge me! (sorry to be difficult)
I would strongly prefer:
- games with achievements
- games that can be completed (100%) in under 12-ish hours
- no multiplayer, no EA
One of my goals this summer is to 100 % a new game but don’t know where to start so maybe I’ll luck out here. :D
A Normal Lost Phone 1.5 hours
Adam Wolfe 6.5 hours
Always The Same Blue Sky… 1 hour
Bulb Boy 2.5 hours
Hue 6.5 hours
Picked some of the short games that I know that all have easy enough achievements to beat
Thanks, looks great! ^_^
You know what its a longer challenge so I’ll go for it. You can just use my pop for easier looking
- Okami HD - HLTB Time: 33 Hours
- Tacoma - HLTB Time: 2½ Hours
- If My Heart Had Wings -Flight Diary- - HLTB Time: 20½ Hours
- The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark - HLTB Time: 7½ Hours
- If Found… - HLTB Time: 2 Hours
Have fun! :)
if found done. It was fine but the whole space stuff really took me out of the story
I haven’t participated in this in ages, so please, challenge me!

Thank you, they look like nice games, I look forward to playing them.
I actually finished Transistor and am playing Magicka currently. I’m planning to play the whole list, I’m just a bit slow with vacations and all. Liked these two so far, thank you.
This looks fun.
Please treat unfinished the same as unplayed and don’t pick anything I’ve been challenged before…

Hello, first time participating in one of these events, if anyone could advice me in any short or any game at all let me know From this list :D .
If you have time you can go to my other games and give me advice, it could maybe one of your favourite games for me to try out! Tho dont like much horror games.
- Hitman - HLTB Time: 10.5 hours - Not sure if you’ve ever played any Hitman games before, but might as well start with the new ones if you haven’t.
- Little Nightmares - HLTB Time: 3.5 hours - You said you don’t like horror games, but hopefully you’ll at least try it out. I don’t usually play horror games either, but this one wasn’t too unnerving and was definitely worth playing.
- Psychonauts - HLTB Time: 12 hours - A classic.
- SteamWorld Dig 2 - HLTB Time: 7 hours - I’ve only played the first one but the reviews for the second one are just as good.
- Tomb Raider - HLTB Time: 11.5 hours - Really good reboot.
Thank you! They look such nice games :D
Just finished Steamworld Dig 2, might 100% not sure yet, and gotta say, i wasn’t expecting of liking it this much, it was an awesome recomendation, can’t wait to play the others!
Nice! It’s rare to have such good sequels to already amazing games.
Sorry for the late response and yeah i 100% agree with that, now since i finished my last semester on uni ill be looking to play the other recomendations!
Just an update, played hitman, and i dont know why i didnt play it before, its such a good game.
Psychonauts i played it a bit, i dont think its my cup of tea, but ill see if i can finish it or not, but its definitely a different game experience.
Little nightmares, i already know its a banger game, going to play whenever my sister is available, same to tomb raider.
Thank you for the suggestions!
Now I am ready to be challenged! Feel free to pick a few of my beaten/unfinished/never played game so I have a little bit of room. Thanks!
reserved finished :3
I absolutely had to choose one specific game
Galactic Civilizations® II: Ultimate Edition | 20h |
as that is an SG gift… from me :D
It’s also great strategy game with large scale.
It has a campaign, which.. I did not play, instead went directly into a small map skirmish match around 20h to learn the game and then a very large map (which I like most) for 70 hours ^^
LIMBO | 4h |
Invisigun Reloaded | 5h? |
Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride | 7h |
Idol Hands | 7h |
Kingdom: Classic | 10h |
Challenge accepted
(and sorry lul)
Will make one of those cool posts with info about all of them when I’m done (in my profile).
This galactic one was fun ngl.
I guess I skipped the campaign as well lol, I went directly into a map with other 4 colonies. (but more keep coming due to tech.
I chose to be “pacifist” but I know that I will end trying to kill everyone in the end. (I am the senate.meme)
I managed to be in the top 1 for like a month and then I started going to the last position. (had to understand the game, researches, population, ships…)
Everything was going pretty bad till I receive a ship classified as “ranger”, that has +100hp. For this reason I decide to declare wall and kill one of my enemies, it all went well, they surrendered and other colony merged with me.
Then I get another ranger ship (my other ships are all kinda trash compared to this)
However, there is a colony that almost had twice my population and very strong ships, I didn’t know this till I attacked them and in less than a month I lost it all. (even after trying to colonize their planets, which didn’t quite work)
I wonder if there is an automated way of gameplay to explore how far can a colony get in a non hostile environment.
Note that I was playing on one of the lowest difficulty settings and I still manage to lose :(
I may try again in the lowest settings to see how far I can go for fun
Thanks mate
I’m ready to be challenged! I was gonna go for shorter games but I noticed that we combined two months so any games from this list will do!
Thanks for the picks!
Guardians of the Galaxy is done! Had a lot of fun with it
a couple hours late but I beat My Friend Pedro! It was a lot of fun even though I was horrible at it lol
