July 2022
I was going really good at the beginning of the month, and then I just . . . stopped. I'm currently getting ready to move across the globe, to Canada, so there won't be much gaming for a while, I'm assuming.
Congratulations on all of your assassinations!! Also, moving to Canada? Woah, little jealous ngl.
Have fun with Stray!!! The reviews for this game look incredible and I’m extremely excited it didn’t flop immediately.
Thank you! It’s a really difficult process, especially because I’m moving there as a student, which will limit my economic abilities for a few years at least. But I’m hoping I can figure everything out.
And I’ve been watching my boyfriend play Stray (my laptop can’t run it, sadly) and it is really fun to watch, so I’m feeling good about it! By the time I get to play I’ll have forgotten the details anyways haha.
We all hit our stopping point. Congrats on your move! We’ll always be here when you resume gaming :)
Thank you!
Canada? Nice! Moving permanently or just to study/work for few years?
Well, the plan is to move permanently, but for now I have a 2 year student visa.
How was cat cafe manager? I have a hard time resisting anything cat-related, so I’m really curious what you think of it^^
The game play is really easy, and it gets repetitive after a few hours of doing the same things over and over again. The graphics are cute, the story is fine, but it’s not very engaging or difficult, so I can’t really recommend. You unlock recipes, buy ingredients & appliances, earn money, unlock more recipes etc. Rinse and repeat.
Decoration mechanic was also weirdly limited: decorations give certain stats, but only 1 of each. If you want to buy multiple of the same chair, only the first copy gives a stat, so you have to buy furniture you don’t want just to get the stats. It makes the decoration not a fun part of the game, but rather something you need to do in order to get higher stats, sadly.
Oh good luck with your move
Have fun playing golf I see. Even that tabletop sim shows a golf course so that’s 3 different versions right there!
Never looked at that shellshock game closely before, kinda reminds me of worms but crazier
Thank you!
The buying of these gifts went somewhat like this:
Cousin: “Do you have Golf It?”
Me: “No.”
Cousin: “Okay, I’ll get you that, let’s play it.”
Few minutes later.
Me: “It’s 3 GBs.”
Cousin: “What about Golf with Your Friends?”
Me: “No.”
Cousin: “Okay, I’ll get you that, let’s play it.”
Few minutes later.
Me: “It’s also 3 GBs.”
…
haha. We had very limited internet during vacation, so much that I couldn’t download a 3 GB game. Hence the multiple purchases. He really wanted to play golf.
Ah sadly games don’t tell you how big they are. The only games that do tell you is when people want to complain about how its so massive. Well it at least gives you chances later on. Golf with friends is good for funky shaped balls. Golf it is good for that tougher experience and wide range of workshop maps
