This list is still under construction. Post your suggestions for other games fitting this month’s theme as a reply here - games that were originally released 10 years ago or earlier (remastered/anniversary etc. versions count as well, later released parts in a series that started over 10 years ago do not).
Reply to the first reply if you spot a game that you think shouldn’t be on this list.

You can use revilheart’s Checker to see which games have been added since the last update and which games you own (may need to be updated first).
I won’t count who played how much this month, but please let us know if you’re participating and which game(s) from the list you beat (the first one is enough).

Please note that some games have regional variants (due to violence etc.) - so it may be in your library, but with a different AppID.

What’s wrong with the script all of a sudden? I’m getting [Beaten] [Completed] on games that I don’t own & with no [Owned] tag. I also get [Owned] tag on some games I don’t own.

Okay, cool. Scripts don’t work for me anymore apparently, because I’m using Firefox, so I never see if something’s up or if it’s just one person :( (also I didn’t really check this thread, sorry)

No problem. Yeah, none of my scripts work with Greasemonkey v4 yet, so you might want to switch to Tampermonkey.

I was expecting to see that theme about playing with a partner, not this, but this seems interesting too.

Would remakes count?

I just won both remakes for monkey island…they are remade in 2009~ I think even though the originals are 1990s

imho, those should count – you could even play those particular remakes with the original art, if you wish! (which I would do if I got around to playing them… newer-art Guybrush’s hair freaks me out…)

My childhood was waaaay earlier than 10 year ago but I’ll participate anyway.

I’ll try to find at least a game from my actual childhood but PCs weren’t common back then… the earliest PC game I remember playing, at the moment, is Another World but I’ve already beaten it this year :)

So I’ve been browsing my library and my memories and I found a couple of games from my childhood (or at least pre-teens) I can play for the monthly theme:

  • SpeedBall 2 - started playing it and it is almost as good as the original… it is a little bit slower and easier I feel but I still love it
  • Deus Ex Machina - never played it when I was young but I’ve always been curious about it.
  • Keen Dreams - played a couple of these games when I was young, will probably try it again

Easy way to find your own games that are released 10 years ago or earlier is with this tool. Just enter your username, wait for it to load the library and then sort them by release date :)

I’ve also used that great tool but some games use the re-release or HD remake date instead of the original release date.

Yep, some games have different date for steam and real release. But without checking each game on google when it was released it is hard to know, and this at least helps find some old games :)

I think the Mega Man Legacy Collection fits the bill very well. Can i use that as my entry altought I already started way back in November? Still not finished with part V and VI and the evil time challenges. And technically Legacy Collection II. Not sure if I have the nerve to start that directly afterwards.

Not sure if they count, Ys games were released as Japan’s exclusives at first and had a late international release. Then a few years ago they were added to Steam.

YS I and II: 2001 on PC (Japan only) 2003 on PS2, 2013 on Steam.
Y’s: The Oath In Felghana: 2005 on PC (Japan only), 2010 on PSP, 2012 on Steam.
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim: 2003 on PC (Japan only), 2005 on PS2, 2015 on Steam.

Please let me know if they don’t.
